Bel hôtel avec une magnifique vue sur la baie de Funchal.
Pros:

Très bel hotel sur les hauteurs de Funchal, de belles prestations dans un lieu historique.

Cons:

Nous avons mangé au restaurant de l’hôtel pour un dîner et avons été très déçu par le rapport qualité prix, le menu a 35€ avec en entrée une petite salade verte avec une tomate cerise… La situation géographique de l’hôtel est excellente pour profiter des lieux touristiques environnants le journée mais pas idéal pour profiter de la ville de Funchal en soirée ( teleferico ferme à 17h45 quand il n’est pas en maintenance…)

Pros:

El alojamiento es precioso, tanto el Hotel como el entorno

Cons:

Yo no estoy acostumbrada a lujos, y la verdad es que a menor precio he encontrado mejor ubicación y alojamiento en otras partes de la isla

Pros:

Location was right next to the garden and the property is spacious you can walk there and there is a pool ( we didnt have time to see it though).
Breakfast had a good variety.
Room was spacious.

Cons:

One of the reception staff was a bit rude and we needed to walk a lot and even use stairs to get to our room.

Paradise at the top of Funchal
Pros:

Even we booked the hotel "under compulsion" as our flight was canceled unexpectedly, by chance we booked one of the best hotel of our lifetime.
This is a palace at the top of the hill, on The Monte, near to the Monte Palace Madeira and 5 minutes walk to the Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Monte, in a very quiet garden, where the only "noise" is the song of the birds.
The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is good, the breakfast is excellent, the room is cosy. What else do you need?
Above all, the price is surprisingly good, maybe we were lucky as last minutes guests, I don't know.

Pros:

Sítio bastante calmo e bonito, dá perfeitamente para descansar no meio da natureza. O quarto era bastante espaçoso assim como a casa de banho. O pessoal da receção, restaurante e bares foram bastante agradáveis. O pequeno almoço estava faboluso e o esparguete a carbonara.

Cons:

Houve uma certa demora no jantar mas reparamos também que o staff estava a dar o seu melhor.

Ideale manier om Funchal te bezoeken
Pros:

Fantastisch hotel: grote kamer, goede bedden, sfeervolle entree en zitruimen, en heel rijk voorzien en uitstekend ontbijt. Ruim opgezet, prachtige tuin, heel rustig. Ligging bij het eindpunt van de kabelbaan naar Monte maakt dat Funchal zelf ook prima te bereiken is.

Cons:

De dinermogelijkheden in hotel zijn teleurstellend.
