Pros:

Prachtig hotel aan het strand. Ruime kamer met toegang tot eigen zwembad. Daarnaast bij het strand ook nog een mooi zwembad. Heel uitgebreid ontbijt met heerlijke koffie. Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen.

Cons:

Je had bij het hotel wel veel last van vliegen en muggen.

Stunning hotel
Pros:

Amazing breakfast, staff were amazing, the hotel river is beautiful. It is a very high end hotel, high attention to detail.

Cons:

The hotel is very long, so you have to walk a lot especially to the main area. The pool water was cold, the restaurant was pricey and not that good.

I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Khao Lak Bangsak with my mother and younger sister, and it was one of the most enjoyable resort experiences I've had in Khao Lak.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful landscaping. The resort is thoughtfully designed with a blend of contemporary Thai architecture, lush tropical gardens, waterways, and mature trees throughout the property. It feels more like a tranquil tropical village than a large resort, creating a truly relaxing environment.
Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room featured warm and elegant décor with a private balcony overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
One of the highlights of the resort is its stunning swimming pools and beautifully landscaped grounds. The main pool near the beach is particularly impressive, surrounded by palm trees and tropical greenery, creating a true resort-style atmosphere. Bangsak Beach itself is quiet and uncrowded, making it ideal for relaxing walks and enjoying the natural beauty of the Andaman coast.
The dining experience was another pleasant surprise. We enjoyed dinner at the resort restaurant and found the food to be of excellent quality. The Thai dishes were especially impressive. The Massaman beef curry was rich and flavorful, with perfectly tender beef, while the grilled beef with Thai dipping sauce was equally delicious. Even the fried rice and pizza were well prepared. Combined with the beautiful restaurant setting, it made for a memorable dining experience.
What stood out most, however, was the genuine hospitality of the staff. Everyone we encountered greeted us with warm smiles, from the front desk team and restaurant staff to the housekeeping team, security staff, and even the gardeners maintaining the grounds.

The room was nice but not as advertised

The beach and pool is nice

Cons:

There is nothing grand about this hotel it is nothing like photos suggest,the other 5* hotels in the area are much better.
They use fake photos from executive room to sell other rooms.The hotel is extremely narrow and very long meaning you can't walk through gardens, you have to walk a very very long way down an uninviting alleyway either side of the hotel to get from the carpark to the beach,the rooms and the restaurant or wait for a minibus.
They don't have a sauna or steam room but they say they do online.The gym equipment is very cheap.
Activities are non existent.
The restaurant is a disaster with tables crammed together,it has stupid steps and awkward pillers that are in your way and the furniture in the restaurant looks very tired.
Have to say I found this hotel very disappointing it has been very poorly designed and lacks a 5* feel.unlike the photos suggest

Traumhaft!
Pros:

Poolzugang war super! Unbedingt buchen, da der Hauptpool im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels eher klein ist.

Vor dem Hotel gibt es einen gut sortierten Supermarkt, am Strand sind sehr gute Restaurants.

Personal super freundlich!!!
Anlage einfach traumhaft, wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :)
