Very welcoming staff.
Pros:

Very welcoming staff. Hibiscus drink upon arrival and soft drinks and cookies in the room for our convenience. Nice breakfast in the panoramic restaurant overlooking the Nile.

The welcome drink was very good, the room was large, and tissues were provided. The staff was kind and came to our room quickly.

There were

no slippers or bathrobes. There was no hot water in our room. A staff member came, turned the hot water switch off and on, and asked us to wait five minutes. We waited more than ten minutes, but there was still no hot water. The Wi-Fi name and password we were given did not work. We also heard train horns every few tens of minutes. My companion was unhappy about the hot water, and we had a very early start the next morning, so the train horns were a big problem for our sleep. For these reasons, we left the hotel in less than one hour after check-in and moved to another hotel. We hope the hot water, Wi-Fi, and noise can be improved.

Pros:

The location was nice and central, close to amenities such as local shops for water etc
Short walk to Nile boardwalk and aswan souk bazaar
The staff were helpful and welcoming and have us free water and Pepsi and some snacks upon arrival
The rooftop had good views of the Nile

Cons:

The bed was horrible, very hard to sleep on almost like bricks.
The bathroom could use some shower gel , only 2 sachet of shampoo were provided

Pros:

We were greeted with welcome drinks, fresh fruits and biscuits upon arrival. Since we needed an early start in the morning, good breakfast was also prepared for us in advance. Highly recommend this place, we really enjoyed our time here!

convenient place to stay in Aswan
Pros:

excellent location, 2 minutes walk from the train station;
nice staff, Mona is very helpful and welcomed me on my arrival after an exhausting train ride; Soji is very kind and answers my questions regarding the cultural difference etc; the night shift staff helped with the breakfast on my day to Abu Simbel 4am

Happy to find this hotel after a hotel search odyssey
Pros:

Hotel located close to the train station (2-minute walk).
Pleasant lobby and roof terrace with a nice round view of the city and to the Nile and the end of the Nubian Island.
Good breakfast and breakfast bag when going on the trip early in the morning.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Very good service for cleaning and additional toilet paper or emptying the bin; dial 0 for reception and immediate response. Welcome water, coke and cookies.
I must say we had been happy to find this hotel after we left the first booked place, which was a security issue, and a nearby hotel was not acceptable as well.

Cons:

Apartment looks nice, however, 3 small things to make a 10 rating, the fridge is only partially opening and blocked by the bed. The mattresses are ripped and only seen when the bed sheet is loose. Also, at least the double bed, 2 mattresses were put together with a board between them. There is room to improve despite the mattress being comfortable to sleep on. If the fridge were on and the welcome beverage were cold, it would have been seventh heaven
