Exceptional - we will be back!
Pros:

Everything at the hotel was exceptional, from the moment of check-in to the moment of check-out! All of the staff were friendly and kind. The dinner was at the level of "excellent gastronomic experience", the room was comfortable (including the bed) and low-key luxurious. The breakfast buffet was abundant, from many cold dishes and choice of fantastic german bread to the à la carte menu with dishes such as omelettes, eggs Benedict and waffles. After checking out we were given bottles of mineral water for the road! One last thing, the hotel is dog-friendly, with lovely paths in the forest to have a walk.

Diesmal etwas unzufrieden

Da wir seit über 25 Jahren hierher kommen, zu Beginn sogar zu unserer eigenen Hochzeit, jetzt immer, wenn wir Familie besuchen, spricht es für sich, dass wir immer hier übernachten

Cons:

Wie eben erwähnt , wir kommen seit vielen Jahren mehrmals im Jahr ins Burghotel, dieses Jahr bereits zum sechsten Mal. Wir sind immer sehr gerne hier und fühlen uns sehr wohl, nicht zuletzt, weil wir hier auch geheiratet haben und das Hotel daher ein ganz besonderer Ort für uns ist.

Als ich gestern am späten Nachmittag kurz von einem Familientreffen ins Hotel fuhr, um die Zimmerschlüssel für meine Tochter und mich zu holen, stieß ich bei dem jungen Mann an der Rezeption zunächst auf für mich völlig unerwartete und unnötige Schwierigkeiten. Er wollte mir zunächst nur den Schlüssel für mein Zimmer geben, nicht jedoch den für das Zimmer meiner Tochter, es sei hinzugefügt, dass ich die beiden Zimmer unter meinem Namen gebucht habe und nur auf Nachfrage, wer das zweite Zimmer bewohnt per Email den Namen meiner Tochter genannt habe

Da wir nicht wussten, wann wir abends ins Hotel kommen würden und die Rezeption ab 23 Uhr unbesetzt ist, war es für uns durchaus wichtig, beide Schlüssel bereits vorher zu haben.

Die Begründung, dass man aus Sicherheitsgründen wissen müsse, wer in welchem Zimmer übernachtet, falls nachts etwas passieren sollte, erscheint mir in diesem Zusammenhang sehr konstruiert und wenig nachvollziehbar. Denn es war ja bekannt, dass meine Tochter und ich hier wohnen werden. Und hat ja nichts damit zu tun, dass ich den Schlüssel entgegennehme

Ich denke, der junge Mann sollte sich noch einmal mit dem Begriff „Hospitality“ sowie mit dem angemessenen Umgang mit Stammgästen und dem Thema Kundenbindung auseinandersetzen. Für mich stellt sich insbesondere die Frage nach der Sinnhaftigkeit, einer Person, die beide Zimmer gebucht hat, zunächst das Einchecken beziehungsweise die Herausgabe des zweiten Zimmerschlüssels zu verweigern.

Erst durch das Eingreifen einer Kollegin konnte ich schließlich auch den zweiten Zimmerschlüssel bekommen.

Ich muss sagen, dass ich diese Situation als sehr ärgerlich und vor allem als völlig unnötig empfunden habe.

Wohlfühloase
Pros:

Verbindung Geschichte, Kultur und Natur. Das Reisebuch von Kuno Graf Hardenberg fand ich extrem interessant

Cons:

Frühstück pro Person mit 38,-€ zu teuer. Insgesamt sehr hohe Restaurant Preise bei relativ kleiner Auswahl.

Pros:

Perfekter Service und Komfort, sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, alle sind sehr freundlich und bemüht, um den Aufenthalt so entspannt wie möglich zu gestalten. Sehr gute Anbindung an die A7 und Tankstelle im Ort, idealer Break vom Süden unterwegs an die Nordsee und zurück.

Super Lage, schöne Location für Familienfeiern, Gutes Bett, ruhiges und dank Nordseite kühles Zimmer (Cosy mit Balkon im Haupthaus), gediegenes Ambiente.

Cons:

Das Frühstücksbuffet ist mit 39€ pro Person deutlich überteuert. Zwar gibt es diverse Eierspeisen a la carte, aber insgesamt stimmt hier das Preis Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Etwas Auffrischung täte den Fluren und Wänden auch mal ganz gut
