Second time staying here and again it was a really good stay in a really good location
Pros:

It was my second stay here and it again met all my expectations. It couldn't be closer to the metro if it tried, although the metro station itself is huge and can take a while to walk through. Everything was as expected. I like being able to go straight from the street to my room without having to pass through reception each time, and the low-contact arrangements for towel replacement etc work well. Overall a very pleasant stay, and I'd happily go back a third time!

Cons:

There's nothing not to like really. Some people might like a reception to go through each time, and some people might like to have a physical key card - the rooms here have an electronic code, so you can take a photo of the code on your phone and just get into the room without searching for key cards.

Pros:

Professional and helpful staff. Great location. There is a Subway exit right outside the hotel. Less than 10 minutes walk to all the shops and there is a 24 hour Aeon nearby. Great onsen pool. Coin laundry is also available. There is also a great selection of pillows to choose from.

I’m staying somewhere else my next visit to Kyoto
Pros:

Very little. Close to the train station was the only benefit.

Cons:

The hotel was not near any good sites. The area around the hotel seems run down and sad to say dirty. The breakfast was ok but no cook to order eggs. Most of the food was cold.
