Hotel Titus City Centre

I paid 998€ to stay here for 5 nights, and that was criminal. Price doubles on the weekend, I live in nyc and it’s common there too but that doesn’t justify it. My room did NOT match the listing photos, the curtains you had to sleep under were covered in mold and the room barely had space for my suitcase. Water in the shower smelled bad and ran either too hot to touch or lukewarm at best. I asked for a new room, they were very nice about it but and changed my rooms for me, even moving my luggage for me, but the new room was also moldy, I could only find one outlet behind both a curtain and a cabinet. Bathroom floor in the new room flooded with every shower, door didn’t close and handle was half broken. If you have asthma get your inhaler ready because they don’t mention the incredibly steep stairs without a lift.

Come forse tutte gli edifici del centro storico di Amsterdam, che si sviluppano in altezza partendo da una base piuttosto stretta, bisogna considerare il fattore scale: non c'è ascensore, gli scalini sono piccolissimissimi e con bagagli importanti o persone a ridotta mobilità può essere un problema non da poco.
L'unica camera con il letto matrimoniale è all'ultimo piano (il quarto), raggiungibile con una sessantina di scale.
La camera è più che essenziale, le prese sono scomode se si vuole avere il cellulare in mano a letto, perciò eventualmente dotatevi di prolunghe.
Non c'era l'aria condizionata, ma c'era a disposizione un ventilatore. Se si va d'estate con queste ultime ondate di calore, essendo la camera un sottotetto, potrebbe diventare più calda di quanto ci si aspetti.

Can’t fit in bathroom. There was a slipper and toothbrush that weren’t ours in the bathroom. There was a dirty handprint on the wall (if you know what I mean) by the bed, and the bathroom smelled of sewer gas.
