Peaceful and comfortable stay
Pros:

The hotel was immaculate. Very clean and tidy and the room was very comfortable with a lovely breakfast. Dave went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and that everything was perfect. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Beautiful location with warm, friendly and super considerate staff.
Pros:

This is such an amazing place to stay, incredibly friendly staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. We slept so well, very comfortable bed with linen so soft it felt like being cuddled. The view from the room windows was amazing, right across the countryside to the mountains. It’s such a peaceful location and easy to drive to Carlisle and Silloth and beyond. Looking forward to visiting again.

There was nothing to dislike.

Unique location, great staff, great food, great accommodation
Pros:

Totally unique location , lovely room and great food. The owner, Dave, couldn’t do enough.

Cons:

Nothing! Maybe a tad overpriced but did include continental breakfast. To be honest it’s such an amazing place that you don’t mind paying a bit extra.

Perfect
Pros:

Host was lovely. We arrived early and was worried as the hotel looked empty and the door was locked. Note on the door to call. Owner came straight away. We were the only guests, would definitely stay here again.

One night stay.....
Pros:

A great guy running the place, but it is quite remote and as such, won't suit everyone. The owner was very adaptable to all arrangements, including the bar facilities and breakfast.

Cons:

The double bed was not very comfortable, but overall our short stay was good.

Pros:

We booked the hotel as we were doing a helicopter experience at Kirkbride airfield. Very welcoming owner & staff team!
The restaurant service was great & good value

If I’m in the area again I would stay here.
Pros:

I loved the location next to the Kirkbride airfield and all the paraphernalia of an old wartime RAF base now used by a number of private aviation companies and individuals.
The owner, David, could not have been more helpful and obliging.
The restaurant is rightly renowned for their food and excellent dessert trolley.

Cons:

For me it was great, but prospective visitors should carefully check the opening hours as days of operation seem to be variable and turning up without prior notice or checking might result in disappointment.

Pros:

The welcome and friendly and efficient staff were excellent. I had an evening meal, breakfast (full English) and roast dinner. All of which were excellent. I would unreservedly recommend the White Heather Hotel.
