locaiton is good in between Hora and scala where you can reach both in 10 minutes by car, breakfast is OK, the view is perfect employees are very sweet nice and pro
inside room amanites are quite old the lighting of the room is not very good, the bathroom the furnitur inside is old not very modern. Check out time is 11 which is too early it should be 12:00 at least as world standart. Also breakfast ends at 10:00 which is too early and all rooms usally come at the same time between 9:30 10:00 which makes it crowded. İt should be ending like 10:30 or 11 for guests convenions. we missed 2 times the breakfast because it was too early and we went out and could not wake up, there for we paid 2 times breaksfast outside hotel like 60 eur, breakfast time should be longer.

Frühstücksbuffet bei längerem Aufenthalt etwas eintönig. Praktisch täglich wurde das Buffet von Gästen (in der Regel Damen) geplündert um Lunchboxen zu füllen. Diesea unanständige Verhalten ist zu verurteilen! Umsomehr, weil das Buffet danach nicht mehr aufgefüllt wurde.
Otel çok temiz ve manzarası muhteşem! Bir diğer iyi şey ise kahvaltı ve kahvaltıyı hazırlayan hanımefendi. O kadar yardımcı ve güleryüzlü ki. Ayrıca bavullarımızı taşıyan abiyi de çok sevdik :) Tüm otel çalışanlarına çok teşekkürler. Tertemiz mis gibi bir oteldi. İyi sezonlar!

The staff were wonderful. Willing to help with anything. The reception staff were lovely to chat with, the breakfast staff helpful and the lovely lady that kept my room clean and tidy was so kind. When I left everyone helped me get my luggage up to the taxi. Loved the hotel it was very clean and comfortable. The walks in the evening to the choice of tavernas was easy and the tavernas had a good variety of meals

The Golden Sun is one of the most charming hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is beautiful and quiet, tucked away in what feels like its own little world. The entire experience was smooth as smooth can be and the staff were simply wonderful. They helped us plan our entire stay, recommended the best local restaurants and dishes to try and were lovely to just stand around and chat to.
Would happily stay there again.
The Golden Sun is a rural hotel with a family run feeling that means you shouldn't expect the same level of facilities you might get elsewhere. There's no gym, no spa, no hotel bar to speak of (it opens in the peak season we were there in June 2026) and the pool is small and feels pointless when theres a stunning bay to swim in 100m down the hill. The breakfast selection was lovely but limited.
I would definitely recommend hiring mopeds or a beach buggy for your stay too as the walk into the main port town is quite long and the bus does not run that frequently.
