It was a comfortable room and in a great location. Wonderful views a short walk away.
The bathroom fan was noisy.
Great location for catching the ferry the next morning. Nice room in safe & quiet area.
Breakfast was across the green. All waitress service which was a bit annoying - less choice & we had to wait to receive cereal at the same time as the small portion of hot food. Body wash in the shower was empty.
Nice room and very nice staff
Window only opened a TINY amount, room was hot and only had one fan. They had no extras to give, despite the heat.
Breakfast room was way understaffed. Had to wait far to long
shower does not drain, as they have OLD pipes. Who wants to stand in a shower full of water
Location to the sea
Top floor was hot
The location. In a relatively quiet area. That the hotel building had charm and history. Parking was always available.
Excellent location and helpful staff in the restaurant for check-in, that does a fabulous breakfast. Let down by wi-fi not working, top-floor rooms feeling a little small and definitely lack ventilation. Ground floor rooms are much nicer. Good location in a quiet area with lots of nearby restaurants and nice walks.
Poor wi-fi. Poor ventilation. Too hot. Top floor rooms are a little cramped.
Setting is great with access to the Royal William Yard amenities, good breakfast and easy access to the surrounding areas. A craft & food market is also held once a month on the lawn in front of Admirals House. EV charging points can be found locally (100kw charger at the Cremyll car park - 2 min drive)
The location is superb.
Slow service in the bar area
Breakfast excellent on first morning. Not quite so good second morning - insufficient staff and a long wait. Only small pot of tea (with one tea bag) for two people! Otherwise good substantial breakfast and plenty of choice.
Evening meal with set menu good value.
Nice room and bathroom tastefully presented. Good to have kettle and tea/coffee provided - plenty of choice and generous amount.
Good to have nearby parking included.
Check in (without a permanent receptionist) took longer than expected.
On our second night an outdoor event with loud music took place right below our room, with no warning. Fortunately it was over by the time we returned to our room after our evening meal.
The area
The fact there was a band playing in the garden outside the room. The room was noisy from the other rooms in the block.
Very comfortable room, a bit hot but every effort made to make stay as good as possible, nice touches
Sun streaming through windows , which were sash & couldn’t open very much
Really well presented in a superb setting.
Location, room was stunning and well stocked with thoughtful extras….such as the room having radio on when we arrived, cookies and the hamper. Lovely touches. Well done all involved - thank you
