This place is perfect!
Beautiful inside with huge bathroom and everything you need for a lovely stay. Fun to be floating on the marina too . Loads to do close by and a convenient restaurant right next door. Cute balcony outside too 👌

Short stay - second time, this time with our teenage children
Pros:

Beautiful and generally peaceful location (occasional movement of boats/people/swans! around the marina)
Comfortable room and bed with well fitted bathroom. Rooms are tethered to the jetties so just gently rock occasionally. Twin room otherwise identical to double and situated side by side.

Great breakfast at the Galley just along the road (walk-in and gets busy) and excellent meals at The Pilot (short walk up the hill) - booking recommended. Can walk up over the hill into Penarth but can also drive and park easily - nice town with plenty of great eating spots and a nice seafront/pier/cliff top walks.

Can also walk to Cardiff Bay across the barrage or short walk to catch the train into central Cardiff from Cogan station instead (line also goes to Barry Island in the other direction)

Cons:

Car parking was a distance away though the 20 mins drop off point worked well to unload/load

Was quite warm in the room even with the supplied fan even though the weather had cooled slightly (no roof vents in rooms) but opening the toilet window/deck doors led to a nice breeze coming through.

An eventual pleasant surprise!

We didn't have breakfast

Cons:

We were very surprised that the room was actually a floating room on a raft. It was very hot inside but by leaving the sliding doors open and fan on it cooled down quite quickly.

Fab Accommodation In Fab Location
Pros:

Having lived in the Marina for many years it was great to return. Still an amazing location. The accomodation was clean and modern . It was quiet and relaxing and lovely to sit on the veranda with the swans and ducks coming to say hello.. Boat owners were friendly and welcoming. Staff second to none. Places to eat and drink nearby. Great benefit was the free parking and car then not needed as public transport to Penarth Pier, Penarth town Cardiff Bay and the City stops outside the Marina office. Would recommend this accommodation and will return when next in the area.

Absolutely brilliant, beautiful and different.
Pros:

Beautiful rooms, fun to stay in and loved sitting on the decking and feeding the swans who came knocking. Absolute luxury for the price of a city centre room.

Cons:

Car parking. A handrail in the shower would help too.
