Wonderful Japanese charm and lovely staff!!
Pros:

The onsen is great your own private hot bath in the room.The TV is easy to figure out so you can watch Netfix in English. The staff are so professional and polite. The Japanese breakfast is fantastic!! The location is amazing right across the street from a temple and 1 block to a Shrine and 1 block to Maryama Park so peaceful and relaxing in the park with a stream running through it. The gion district is right there. About a half mile to downtown shopping in Kyoto you can walk there.

Staff did anything they could to make your stay excellent. Breakfast was a fantastic traditional Japanese breakfast. Rooms were huge and the private onsen was great.

Spectacular would return.
Pros:

Location was prime but also peaceful and relaxing while being close to beautiful sights, shopping and easy to navigate. The room was beautiful, super spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable. The beds were great and we had a private in room onsen that was truly the highlight. Pajamas and yukata were provided in the room as well.

Cons:

Nothing it was really lovely.
