Pros:

The hospitality was absolutely incredible. Miriam exceeded our expectation. and was absolutely fabulous. The service was impeccable. The beds were divine. The food was decadent and the service was lovely.

There was nothing we did not like.

Pros:

The staffs were very kind and the hotel dinner was excellent. They informed a local restauranvst named Hayashi, where we could experience an authentic Kyoto-style izakaya.

Pros:

Food - Fantastic dinner and breakfast. Their pajama and yukata for the guest to wear. And the pool in our room. It also had decent selection of wines.

Truly fantastic! Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, this hotel is the perfect base for exploring Western Kyoto. It’s a recently renovated villa where everything feels brand new yet incredibly stylish and elegant.
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. The manager’s exceptional English allowed for wonderful conversations about Japanese life, and she went above and beyond to personalize our stay—even tailoring the fridge contents to our liking. It is a luxury price point, but for this level of service and beauty, it is worth every penny.

Très déçue
Restaurant fermé pour dîner le soir en pleine semaine
Chambre sur la route extrêmement bruyante on a pas dormi de la nuit impression de dormir sur une aire d autoroute
Très dommage pour un lieu comme celui ci
Ne surtout pas accepter les chambres coté rue !
0 souplesse nous avons demandé un petit dej à 7h00 au lieu de 7:30 pour cause de train refus catégorique
Impossible demandé nous commander un taxi pour la gare
Cette endroit qui semblait magique a été une de nos déceptions de notre séjour

Cons:

La chambre très grande les deux lit très confortable, en revanche les lits rajouté sur le sol très moux et peu confortable pour une chambre de 137m2

If you stay at only one place in Japan, make it this hotel!
Pros:

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The people were extremely friendly from walking through the door on check-in to leaving the hotel at check out. The room itself was traditional Japanese, with two attached gardens and a private Onsen. I couldn’t have asked for a more spectacular Kyoto experience.

Cons:

We wanted to have dinner at the hotel but wasn’t able to be accommodated when we called to make a reservation. It would have been nice to know that we needed to tell the property managers a day in advance so we could have had that experience. A very minor thing, but worth mentioning. The property overall exceeded my expectations in all areas.
