The property will be renovating from 9 April to 31 March 2027, the exterior will be affected but works will only take place during working hours, and every effort will be made to minimise the noise and disturbance.

Great hotel, but renovation works spoil aesthetic
Pros:

Beach within easy walking distance. Location looking out over the sea, good breakfast.

Cons:

Restaurant Food was overpriced and portions were small. Renovations with enormous crane and workmen.

Trotz einiger negativer Bewertungen im Vorfeld wurden unsere Sorgen nicht bestätigt – wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.
- Traumhafte Lage mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht.
- Gutes Essen.
- Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
- Zimmer sauber.
Die Baustelle für den Neubau hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört.

Cons:

- Zimmer etwas hellhörig.
- Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat dafür aber viel Charme.

Lauw welkom, maar wel een prachtig hotel
Pros:

Ligging, het strand vlakbij, mooi uitzicht, de inrichting van het hotel is prachtig, goede bedden, alles was netjes, algemeen was de bediening vriendelijk.

Cons:

De verwelkoming was niet echt hartelijk. Er werd geen uitleg gegeven over hoe de reservatie van het zwembad werkte en er werd ons een uur gegeven zonder dat we even konden nadenken wat het best in de avond zou passen. Het eten was ok, maar niet super. Het zwembad is klein en wat verouderd.

Stunning views and location, could try harder
Pros:

Amazing view and location

Cons:

A little tired, dirty carpets in halls and stairs, crumbs all over breakfast floor beneath tables, no coffee machine in room, choice at continental breakfast could be better - doesn’t match competition at their price point
Call a week prior to stay to decide 30 min breakfast arrival slot and same time to use the pool really removes any spontaneity to a hotel break

Lovely hotel, in a stunning location.
Pros:

Location is gorgeous, loved all the outside seating available to watch the sunset! My room didn’t have a view but it was comfortable and had everything I needed for one night stay. Weather was perfect so all helped

Highlight am Küstenwanderweg
Pros:

Eine traumhafte Lage direkt an den Klippen - Meeresrauschen inbegriffen. Toller unkomplizierter Service, schmackhafte Küche und eine gute Auswahl an Biere vom Fass. Indoor-Pool und Fitnessraum.

Cons:

Leider durch Baumaßnahmen eine Nutzung des Aussenpools (war zumindest nicht auffindbar)nicht möglich -

A lovely spot, communication could be improved
Pros:

Great location on a beautiful Cornish beach. The restaurant staff were great and breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

The building works are extensive and we were not informed about them before our stay. Noise could be heard from 7;15am until 6:15pm which was very disruptive to our stay. The photos of the outdoor pool are misleading as this no longer exists. The video featuring golf buggies is also misleading as most guests are not allowed to use these. We were also not told that we’d need to book a slot for breakfast, so when we arrived only awkward times were left which was difficult for us with a young baby. We also weren’t told in advance that we’d have to book to use the pool, and it was all booked up by the time we arrived. If our expectations had been managed this would have been much easier for us to work around. We received 3 welcome emails from the hotel but none of them mentioned the above, only inviting us to book paid experiences like massages and dinner.
