Absolutely nothing.
This hotel is an absolute scam and does not deserve to call itself a 5-star property honestly, not even 1 star. Maybe it was a luxury hotel 30 years ago, now it is completely run-down, filthy, and disgusting & unhygenic. The photos online are extremely misleading.
We have travelled all over the world for more than 20 years and never leave negative review, but this was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Absolute rubbish from start to finish.
We paid over £300 for 2 nights, and honestly, I wouldn’t even pay £5 a night to stay here again. Even tea houses we stayed in himlayas while trekking is more hygienic and cleaner than this hotel.
The room smelled like drains for our entire stay. The curtains were covered in mould, the bathroom stink, bedsheet unwashed, and the fridge smelled awful and was full of yellow liquid. Nothing looked properly cleaned. Hygiene standards simply do not exist here. Both the indoor and outdoor sofas and cushions were mouldy and unusable. Everything felt dirty, broken, damp, and neglected.
The restaurant was another disaster, completely infested with flies. They hide behind a so-called “slow food” concept and claim everything is freshly cooked, yet we waited over an hour for food that arrived cold every single time. We were genuinely shocked at how “freshly cooked” food could arrive stone cold everytime. To make matters worse, we ended up with food poisoning.
The hotel is clearly understaffed and badly managed. The staff themselves seemed overworked and underpaid, although they were friendly and tried their best. Its not staff fault, its owner fault who is cashing in lots of profits behind scamming selling fake eco- friendly & donation concepts.
We simply do not buy the fake concept they are selling.
Very tidy and very kind personel
The staff were incredible, from the gardeners to the security guards to the waiters, everyone was so friendly. Special shout out to Bishwas Gurung, he helped with every request with a smile on his face. The food was great too (ask Bishwas for recommendations).
Managers kept interviewing or having business meetings in pool area, guests come here to relax and get away from work and loud conversations.
Amazing experience at the Pavilions. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and smelt amazing, with a huge comfy bed and standalone bathtub. A real relaxing getaway! The food, especially the breakfast was incredible and the atmosphere of the place was very relaxing. I will definitely be coming back - thank you!
Very good service, good quality food. Beautiful big room, fantastic bathroom
The whole hotel was amazingly thought out and felt completely private once we were in our room. The room itself was spacious and had almost everything you could want.
It's the perfect place to relax and recover after doing a hike in the local area, or even just to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.
The food at the restaurant was amazing and reasonably priced even for such a luxurious hotel. There were plenty of things to do that were available and the staff were always happy to help and fulfil any request.
Small things only, but did not negatively effect our stay.
Loose power plugs next to the bed, and confusing light switches layout that were quite difficult to master alongside a switch that turned off all the power, (but only if another switch was flipped to off aswell).
The power was lost quite a lot during our stay due to the local electricity issues, however this effected our ability to make the use of the bath/shower as the water was running cold for an entire evening.
The fridge in the room was super loud, so we had to unplug it ourselves.
The staff was amazing!
Prachtig eco hotel, biologische voeding
Zeer vriendelijk personeel
Ruime villa, uitstekend gepoetst
Zeer behulpzaam in het organiseren van tours
Mooie omgeving met veel natuur
Uitstekend ontbijt
Ons verblijf was heerlijk
La situation, le service, le style nature, la nourriture, tout était exactement ce que nous aimons. Nous recommandons vivement .
Amazing stay!
Beautiful hotel, with a very friendly staff and very good decoration and breakfast
The location is a little bit far, especially with the bad road that makes it difficult to move from the hotel
The perfect place to unwind after a long ABC trek! Because it’s a short drive from Pokhara itself, it truly feels like an escape, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff were even better, they worked tirelessly to make our stay incredible. The food was exactly as described and well worth the wait, freshly prepared and cooked to order!! Loved our stay
Unfortunately, the massage wasn’t worth the price compared to other options we got in Pokhara (I shared my feedback to why but didn’t receive acknowledgement). Some areas of the property are a little more run down than the photos suggest, but this seems to align with their eco-friendly approach.
