Lovely pub, had bar snacks and breakfast. Very comfortable and clean
Cannot fault the room, comfortable beds, although was very warm due to the heat outside - was so grateful to see a fan in room upon arrival. Food was spot on. A very good menu.
There was nothing not to like
Lovely pub with beer garden, good food, and ample parking, my room was clean and very quiet. Breakfast had plenty of choice for me, either cooked or cereals, fruit is available.
It is on a fairly main road but to be honest from my room I wasn't aware of any traffic noise and one of the beer gardens is away from the road.
Excellent staff - and brilliant veggie salad 🤩
Reasonably priced and comfy bed
Decent breakfast,evening food just OK
Room was small and hot
Fan provided but needs air con
Clean with nice friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly staff, good value
It was all good
Ideal location for stopover. Rooms were quite pleasant
Poor selection of breakfast items, food quite expensive for portions but free hair on steak. The staff seemed inexperienced
Bernard and team have the most wonderful property, and are kind and fun hosts. The rooms and pub downstairs are both great, it's incredible value, and we really appreciated the laughs over breakfast. We can't wait to come back.
Nothing not to like
Location and the Polish lady serving
Bar closed at 22.00 on Saturday night and 21.00 on Sunday.
Rooms very hot and only small bedside fan.
View of A/C unit from bedroom.
Shower not good and no room service
Good location, rooms were comfortable, staff very friendly, good value for money
Can be noisy, doors are heavy so they slam quite loudly and not good when you have a nervous dog.
Food was ok, bar shuts at10pm every night and asked to take drinks back to room after around 10.30..
Everything
Breakfast was fine, asked we we wanted scrambled eggs, thought being asked would present a nice fresh eggs, no! rubbery eggs! Hardly warm, obviously been made some time, not nice, otherwise choices for continental breakfast was fine.
The meal in the restaurant, Sunday evening 6.30, belly pork with veg, would have expected this meal to be cooked fresh, no it was reheated and swimming in gravy, presentation sadly, very poor, mentioned it to waiter when he came to take plate away, didn't even apologise, and certainly not shown any recompense, only ate a small amount! Sadly very disappointing. I would imagine at lunch time it may have been a much nicer meal with a very different result.
