Food was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar has a nice atmosphere.
The outside appearance of the pub is off putting. We drove straight past it thinking it was part of an industrial area.
The bedroom was ok, bedding lovely and clean and fresh but the room and bathroom could probably do with a deep clean. Nowhere to plug anything in near the mirror. But overall it was fine for a couple of nights.
Conversation overheard indicates that the whole place is due to be refurbished so all of the above might not apply when the work is finished.
The meals were well presented and tasty.the location was a bit remote.when we arrived the outside of the hotel looked very shabby but the inside and the bedrooms were good.staff were excellent
The outside was very shabby.but a member of staff told us they were shutting down in October for refurbishment
The staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. Bed was super comfortable.
It was on a busy main road and the chickens in the garden across the road woke us up very early but the room itself could do with an update and a full length mirror, maybe better lighting in the bathroom but it was clean and comfortable on the whole. The curtain up at the window didn't actually cover the window so they could invest in a pair that fit.
Although the pub looks a bit 'Scrappy Doo' from the outside it is well worth a visit. The staff were superbly friendly and helpful. The meals we ate there were great. Plenty of room for us and our two dogs and they enjoyed the cool stone floor. The chalet was comfortable and clean.
We were disappointed with the masses of soil as there was only stones or a teeny craggy area for our dogs to pee outside our chalet. Obviously we do understand there has been a drought and the area is being remodelled. You can't possibly lay turf in a drought. Also the rabbits and rabbit poo were a surprise. Our two thought it was Christmas! I felt £15 charge for each dog was overpriced and unfair considering the state of the outside area. Maybe £15 for both?
Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with good tea making facilities. Breakfast was good, we also had an evening meal.
The cabin was very spacious and comfy and quiet. A wonderful place to stay. We even had our own deck, to sit and watch the stars.
We liked how the cabins were well spaced apart so you felt like you had privacy. Each had it's own parking spot.
There was a lovely path from the cabins through the orchard campsite to the pub that was nice to walk in the morning for breakfast
The layout in the superior cabin had two distinct areas -bedroom and lounge which was great. Very generous sofas.
Decor was simple but with fun touches, like Llama curtains! There was even two sinks in the bathroom!
The staff were really lovely. The Breakfast was good too.
Tetbury town centre was not far away and a nice place to wander, there was plenty of shops and cafes
Overall it was excellent! And we loved it, some things would have made it even better are...
It was a very hot evening during a heatwave (which hopefully won't be the norm) there was wasn't much ventilation as the bedroom windows only seemed to open slightly. We slept with the door open which provided a breeze. A fan in the room would have been a welcome addition
I couldn't see WIFI information. Perhaps I missed it. That's said it was nice to switch off!
The bathroom was lovely. A small suggestion would be a toilet roll holder.
Food was excellent
Too expensive for type of property
The breakfast buffet offered a range of items alongside cooked items selected individually from a menu.
The staff were generally friendly and helpful.
The 'Shack' we stayed in was rather cramped with an awkward layout including inward opening windows over one side of the bed which were impassable when open. With the hot weather it was extremely difficult to keep the room cool enough.
The extra long curtain used as a "door" / screen between the living/bedroom area and toilet/shower, was heavy and awkward, and where it is constantly being dragged over the floor, it was rather mucky looking and needed to be laundered. The floor throughout appeared dirty, needing to be painted and cleaned generally.
The water in the shower was overheated and almost unusuable in the hot weather when a cool shower is all that's needed.
A Calor gas cylinder was located at the back of the 'Shack' but completely exposed, not protected by any form of casing and in full sunshine which felt rather dangerous given the extreme heat conditions at the time of our visit and through this summer generally. The cylinder could be hit or damaged by a car passing to reach one of the other chalets.
The outside area resembled a building site with other chalets and surrounding areas under construction; the roadways were unfinished, uneven, creating a lot of dust in the dry weather but potentially very muddy in wet conditions.
Nice comfortable room with good shower / bathroom , breakfast was nice .
Our room had a massive extractor fan outside room three window which started back up at 7AM and was very noisy due to the heat we had to leave the window open as no air conditioning apart from very small desk fan - given the price we paid this was disappointing
Food was excellent evening meal & breakfast
Staff were very friendly and helpful
A little out of the way
Basic pub accommodation but good value for money
