Staff were incredibly kind- really going above and beyond to make us comfortable! Let Sanny know what youre up to, he'll connect you to discounts and friends :) We loved that it had its own bus stop, made it possible to easily grab the bus when it came by, including to getting to and from the ferry port!

La struttura vanta di una vista spettacolare con terrazzo e piscina usufruibile tutto il giorno.
L’accoglienza di Sanny fa veramente la differenza. Al nostro arrivo ci ha fornito la camera più grande rispetto a quella che avevamo prenotato (bilocale al posto della tripla) e ci ha dato la possibilità di lasciare gli zaini e di utilizzare la piscina anche dopo il check out.
Inoltre c’è la fermata dell autobus che ferma proprio davanti.
Sicuramente torneremo la prossima volta che saremo ad Ischia!

Sanny was an amazing host, probably the most interested & caring host I've ever encountered. He was marvellous for offering tips on where to eat and making reservations.
Breakfast was amazing. Sanny's father was a gentleman (and a great barista). Baked goods with quality, home-grown/homemade condiments - it was a treat waking up to it every morning.
Sanny appeared to work all day, every day. He's clearly very proud of the business, as he should be.
Beautiful location, fantastic views, bus stop on its doorstep & walking distance to town.

The hotel is nicely located, 10 minutes walk from Sant Angelo village, away from the noise but still easily accessible. There are buses going every few minutes which stop just outside and a free public parking about 150 meters away. There is a nice beach, accessible via stairs directly below the hotel and I would definitely recommend swimming there instead of the Sant Angelo beach.

Sanny, the owner, was the definition of hospitality. He helped us with tips and recommendations and made us feel welcome.

The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. No fancy view from the room itself but the roof terrace of the hotel compensated for that. Not to forget the delicious breakfast with a variety of local dishes, both sweet and savoury.

Overall, definitely recommended!

The property is absolutely beautiful! Situated in a great location near the beach but also with beautiful pools and areas to hang out. The staff are wonderful, the host Sanny made sure to make us feel super comfortable. He and his father were so helpful, giving us recommendations and making reservations for us. We absolutely loved our stay here and would come back again quickly. The breakfast is also amazing.

Residence st. Angelo does what all other hotels aspire to do. They make you feel like you are a guest in their own home. After leaving I want to send personal postcards to the lovely staff and invite them for dinner in my home.

Hôtel très bien placé pour visiter à pieds Sant Angelo ou avec le bus. Plage accessible à pieds. Piscine avec transats et vue mer au calme. Chambre basique mais correctement équipée avec la climatisation. Petit déjeuner buffet super avec salle vue mer. Accueil chaleureux et conseils sur les activités alentours.

Perched above the southern edge of Ischia, where the island begins to dissolve into the Tyrrhenian Sea, it feels less like a hotel and more like a quiet sociological experiment in deceleration. You arrive with the residue of speed still clinging to you: deadlines, notifications, the reflex to optimize time and without anyone explicitly asking you to, you begin to let it go.

Mornings unfold on terraces that seem designed not for spectacle, but for permission: to sit, to look, to do nothing with intention. The view over Sant’Angelo is not just beautiful; it is disarming in its calm, as if the landscape itself has opted out of urgency.

What anchors the place, more than anything architectural, is its people. Hospitality here is not performed, it is inhabited. Sanny, in particular, embodies a rare completeness as a host: attentive without intrusion, present without noise, always seemingly one step ahead of what you might need, yet never reducing the experience to service. It is the kind of care that feels almost pre-modern in its sincerity, closer to belonging than accommodation.

And then there is Campania in the wider sense: not as geography, but as atmosphere that seeps in: food that refuses to be rushed, flavors that insist on memory, conversations that stretch rather than conclude. You eat differently here, not because the ingredients are exotic, but because time itself has been persuaded to slow down at the table.

What stays with you is not a single moment, but the gradual realization that nothing is missing. That the absence of urgency can be its own form of luxury. That stepping away from the accelerated world is not escape, but recalibration.

And when you eventually leave, you understand that places like this do not stay behind on the island. They travel with you, quietly altering your sense of what “normal speed” used to mean.
