PC Bhurban is a beautiful resort with breathtaking views and excellent facilities. Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday is available on-site. The staff, ambiance, and overall experience were excellent, making it a great destination for families and anyone looking to unwind.
The bathrooms are a bit small for a luxury family resort. Also, during our stay there was a large group attending a sales conference. Since many families were vacationing at the resort, the presence of large groups of men in common areas made some guests feel uncomfortable, especially when they appeared to be watching families closely. Better segregation of conference groups and family leisure areas would make the experience even more enjoyable.
Staying here after a long gap was a nostalgic experience. The location and lush green surroundings remain the property's biggest strengths, especially the short hiking trail within the premises, which is serene, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding.
For dining, we enjoyed the hi-tea buffet at Nadia, green tea and dessert at Khyber Hujra, and the breakfast buffet at Nadia. Khyber Hujra offers a wonderful ambiance, particularly in the evening. Both the hi-tea and breakfast buffets were enjoyable, although there is still considerable room for improvement in terms of variety, presentation, and overall dining experience (as detailed below).
The property is in urgent need of a major renovation. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the facility is outdated, poorly maintained, and has seen little investment to meet modern hospitality standards.
Front Desk: Although we arrived at the scheduled check-in time of 2:00 PM, one of our two rooms was not ready until 3:00 PM, which was frustrating. Ironically, during checkout, the hotel strictly enforced the 12:00 PM checkout time and warned guests about additional charges for late departures.
Rooms: While the room interiors and furniture were acceptable, cleanliness was disappointing. There was visible dust on the bedside tables, and the bed linens were stained. In my children's room, the mattress, pillows, sheets, and comforters all had stains. Although replacements were provided upon request, their condition was only marginally better.
Housekeeping: Basic amenities reflected the property's age. The water glasses, iron, and ironing board were worn out and should be replaced. Considering the room rate of around Rs. 50,000 per night, providing only one 1.5-liter bottle of complimentary water and charging Rs. 540 for additional bottles is unreasonable. Even the minibar price list was outdated.
Bathrooms: The bathrooms require a complete refurbishment and much better cleaning standards.
Nadia Restaurant: We had both hi-tea and breakfast here. The stained dining chairs, dated furniture, aging crockery, and worn buffet stations all detracted from the experience. The placement of the juice and lassi dispensers in a cramped corner was also poorly thought out. Most importantly, the hotel should better manage restaurant capacity by prioritizing hotel guests. The large number of day visitors made the dining area overcrowded and noisy, diminishing the experience for residents paying premium rates to stay at the hotel.
It was clean, comfortable and a good stay.
Nothing to dislike.
Location is beautiful
They haven't updated the property in 30 years. They charge the price of 5 star hotels but aren't even 3 stars. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. They are so stingy about breakfast, even when you pay for mattress they want to charge extra for additional person. They even want to charge for kids even though everyone knows kids barely eat anything. Nowhere in the world have I seen this kind of stinginess regarding breakfast buffet that gets wasted anyway. Thoroughly disappointed. Avoid avoid!
