The hotel offers free shuttle to airport. That is not really the case. we were 5 and 4 of us had to take taxis on different days. I have arranged for shuttle 2 months before arrival and suddenly all information disappeared from their booking system. we confirmed shuttles the night prior to departure and ... it didn't show up... with the new airport opening up it will get worse as they seem to have one shuttle for few locations.

Restaurant lukket trods website angivelse om åbent fredag og lørdag. Begrænset udvalg i cafeteria, med mangel på visse retter. Næsten ingen seafood på menu trods masser af lokal fisk og rejer. Lufthavns transfer ikke til rådighed. Late check out afvist.
Sometimes you don't need to stay at a hotel to appreciate how well they treat their guests — even when those guests are ultimately unable to stay.
We simply want to thank Hotel Hvide Falk for the understanding, kindness and consideration they showed us. The way they handled our situation meant a lot to us.
That alone is enough for us to know that next year we want to try again to finally make it to Ilulissat and, hopefully, be able to stay at Hotel Hvide Falk.

We stayed in an apartment, with own balcony, directly on the shore with the best view ever. We sat at the balcony every evening enjoying the view.
The apartment had everything we needed, we really enjoyed it.
Staff at the reception was friendly and always ready to help.
The apartment desperately needs new curtains. Short, light green old curtains don't work at all in bright nights.
Staff at the restaurant is quite rude. Especially on the morning shift. Do you really have to take away coffee 10 mins before the end?
No refill of food last 30mins, to make sure guests don't spend too much time there. If you have every morning at 9.20 restaurant full of guests, don't close the breakfast at 9.30 but at 10. Absolutely ridiculous. One breakfast lady (older) watch you how much you put on your plate, how much coffee you pour and make you feel rushed. That is very rude. You pay quite lot of money to being rushed away for the most important food of the day.
Also I could hear the talkes among the restaurant staff and it didn't sound like a friendly place.. There is definitely some space for improvement.
Centrally located, also right by the Albatross Arctic boat launch, so booking excursions through them is easy and convenient (it is worth it to not have to walk to the harbor for other excursions). Great view of the harbor and bay. Rooms are modern and the curtains blocked the midnight sun very well!
The street itself that it's on is not charming, but it's still a very short walk to most sights in town.

Jeg blev ikke informeret om proceduren ved aflysning af fly, trods det står på i det uendelige.
Jeg kunne ikke få lov til, at køre med shuttle bussen senere på dagen da jeg valgte at tage i lufthavnen.
Da vi ikke måtte drikke vandet på grund af bakterier stillede personalet ikke op med vand. Jeg startede selv op med at købe men på et tidspunkt slap det op. Der var mangelfulde opslag ang. At vandet ikke kunne drikkes.
