L'AMAGI indique un hotel de "transit" et c'est bien ce qu'il est. Je cherchais un hôtel à la fois en ville et proche de l'aéroport, l'hotel remplit les deux conditions mais c'est son seul intérêt : avoir une chambre pour passer une dernière courte nuit avant de décoller le lendemain matin tôt. J'avais pris une suite coté ville, on m'a surclassé coté lagune. Bien pour la vue, mais on sent que la chambre est un peu "passée" et mal entretenue : la peinture s'écaille un peu, le parquet n'est pas reluisant. Coté salle de bains, tout est en ordre, grande douche à l'italienne, deux vasques. Un grand dressing dans lequel on peut mettre les valises. Belle terrasse équipée d'un jacuzzi lui aussi bien usé, avec des accessoires qui sont mal fixés, etc.
La clim fait son possible pour rafraîchir la chambre.
Le personnel est très prévenant, au petits soins pour vous.
J'avais déjà aperçu un cafard énorme (5cm) sur la terrasse avant de sortir dîner. Au 6e ça surprend, et je me suis dit "tant que ça reste sur la terrasse"... mais quand vous en croisez un encore plus gros dans le dressing à 3H du matin, et un autre qui sort d'un trou dans la salle de bains pendant que vous prenez une douche, la coupe est pleine. Il est temps de prendre l'avion rapidement.
De tous les hôtels que j'ai fait au Sri Lanka, parfois en pleine campagne ou dans des petites villes du centre, c'est le seul qui m'ait donné cette "expérience" très désagréable.
Sinon, aucune prise électrique près du lit ou à proximité.

The lighting in the room is harshly dim, and the AC seems to be circulating air without actually lowering the temperature.

Nothing. It was a really good place.
Great place to stay before or after a flight with lovely views of the lagoon. Very quick and cheap taxi to the airport. We arrived after a long hot train journey from the south and were greeted by friendly staff offering chilled towels and fresh juice. The pool and breakfast buffet both fabulous. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Our room AC was not working and they changed the room however view was not good as previous room.

Great location to enjoy dinner while watching the sunset over the lagoon before a late night flight.

We arrived on the eve of the Sri Lankan new year. The hotel was very busy due to this. Was not mentioned that we needed to book a table for dinner which caused issues when we arrived to eat. Offered food in room.
Der Inhaber und das gesamte Personal waren ausgesprochen liebenswert und zuvorkommend. Es war sauber, sehr ruhig einfach ein unglaublich schöner Ort zum entschleunigen und genießen.
