Managed by a private host
The room was spotless, and although small, it was well organized. The shared kitchen was also spotless and well appointed. Very secure building and premises. Great location, just off the Royal Mile.
Steep, spiral staircase.
Cleaned to high standards, had everything you could need for an over night stay, close to city center
The location was very good, super close to the old city. The room was big and comfortable. The staff was super helpful.
Due to central location it was very noisy.
The location is absolutely perfect.
Welcoming host and awesome location right at South Bridge and Cowgate (right above the cow!)
Stairs and noise from street (that’s city center Edinburgh for you though)
Let's start with the location which was absolutely perfect! Right in the center of everything! The smiley woman that welcomed us was very informative and kind and we really thank you for everything! The room was spacious, very clean, extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated. Inside the facility there is a kitchen room for shared use. Highly recommended for staying in Edinburg!
As other comments state, there are bars around and can be really noisy at night. We were not bothered, but you should keep that in mind.
Location was exceptional — seemed like everywhere I wanted or needed to go was within a 10-minute walk.
My room was tiny and cramped, with a twin bed and just a chair and a ledge as additional furniture. Bathroom was also tiny, w zero barricade for the shower, which meant everything else in the bath got wet if you used it. (There was a very nice full tub and shower across the hall.) Communal kitchen was very nice, too, but again required you to leave your room to use it. The keyed entry system was also unnecessarily involved, and every door but the outside one required both hands to open, which was often really inconvenient. Finally, Scotland in late March is still very cold, but when I and other guests arrived, we soon realized the heat was off. WHY?!? It also took HOURS to get staff to respond to our pleas for heat; some of this wasn’t their fault, but again … why was the heat turned off in the first place, when you know you have 5+ guests arriving that afternoon?
The location was excellent and the staff were fantastic and made us feel very comfortable.
Céntrico
Ruido por la noche
It was very central and the bed was very comfy!
Excellent facilities, very secure
No local TV access but you could log in to your own subscription account
I loved how the owner was very accessible and responsive when we arrived A very modern clean apartment. In house heating adjustment The spa bath was absolutely great fun. Having tea coffee milk biscuits bottled water was an added lovely treat. Having a photograph of the door on the website was handy in locating the building as the one way traffic and using satnav can confuse things very easily. This is so close to everything the area has grocery stores over the road a very tasty pie shop next door, amazing restaurants in every direction. There is payed parking not too far up the road. Bus routes as you step out the door. You really are that close to virtually all the attractions Edinburgh has to offer.
The rooms are not open plan and the kitchen is the only social space. It can be somewhat uncomfortable on your body not having a couch to
Recline in. The TV works with using your own personal information where you can see the benefits but you may not want to use your personal information/data incase there is a breach. If you don’t use your data the TV cannot be used not even for terrestrial tv or radio. The entrance door can have a variety of characters trying to come in at the same time as yourself though the bus stop allows you to wait out the person who shouldn’t be trying to get in. There is ear plugs left for you to use which you will need if you stay over a Saturday night or just join in and go to the heavy metal bar and have some fun. The apartment is not suitable at all for someone who is disabled there are stairs. A stair lift may resolve this issue and get you more customers? I did ask for the large double bed to be two single beds which I only found out when we arrived, that this could not be arranged. Which then caused me to have to pay extra for another room where if I had been contacted straight away to discuss this matter I would have found alternative arrangements in good time. I was not happy about how this was handled.
Posizione centrale, ottima x muoversi a piedi nel centro città. Stanza nuova e pulita.
