Stunning Place with amazing views
Pros:

Visited for a wedding - stunning place with amazing views . The bar and restaurant staff were exceptional. The place is elegantly decorated to a very high standard . The food was beautiful . They have a beautiful set up for weddings and parties - I would return when in the area .

Cons:

Barry the wedding coordinator was a little vacant - wasn't available for the set up in the evening, wrong table set up etc - easily sorted however a more hands on approach would have been appreciated .. Barry served me at he bar , took the money and then said he didn't have the drinks available . Also he took away the wedding cake and cut part of it BEFORE the bride and groom had chance to cut it . He also started to clear away the tables whilst everyone was dancing and enjoying the night. A little attention to details Barry!

Wonderful refurb.
Pros:

Superb refurbishment of the bedrooms and corridors (public rooms planned for later in 2026). Reception staff were really helpful & friendly. Following the closure of the wonderful Croft House in Cockermouth, were looking for a regular place for our frequent visits to Workington and this has become just that.

Cons:

The lad providing "service" at breakfast was close to clueless. We were assured by other guests that the previous day had been much better.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and comfortable stay
Pros:

The manor has been heavily refurbished, it’s now modern, which is a little shame that it’s lost and loosing some of it’s history / charm, but it’s beautiful still and very clean and comfortable

Cons:

The chandelier has been replaced by a modern strip light. It was a beautiful feature, so it’s a bit of a shame in my view
