Me gustó todo.
For charm and character it's a 10. I loved how different it is from chain hotels, with very interesting decoration and old furniture (that's still in good shape). No problem with parking once you get used to the road as there's space.
The view of the mountains is incredible, better than on photos. There aren't many hotels where you can have breakfast in such a view. The building itself looks great as well, with a very nice garden area and cute church within the complex.
Everybody in the hotel was very welcoming too, especially the breakfast waiter.
I generally had a positive experience but for the price paid I feel like they are trying to save too much money on some things like:
-the food quality and quantity in the restaurant doesn't match the price, especially for the special eclipse menu that was too expensive (and despite advertising them, didn't serve oysters). Also it only opens at 20:30 and service is slow so you're not eating before 9 or later.
-it's old style so I'm OK with no lift, air con and some cobwebs but in August there should be at least a fan in the room as even with the window open it gets hot. Also, there's common areas with nothing interesting in them, they could provide some games and/or tea in there to make it more enjoyable.
