We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to stay in Mirissa.
Pros:

The location was great, short 10 minute walk to the beach, nestled back off the busy streets in the lovely lush gardens. The jungle pool area was our favourite. We loved the cable car ride through the beautiful green hillside up to reception, it added a bit of fun to the experience. The staff are all so lovely and kind. They made our stay feel like home with the daily chats.

Cons:

Nothing. It was 10/10 all round!!

Waanzinnig hotel, echt een aanrader. Zo gastvrij luxe en hartelijk.
Pros:

Dit was het allerfijnste hotel van heel Sri Lanka. Super fijne vibe, geweldig personeel, erg aardige eigenaren, mooie lokatie en heerlijke kamers. Er is vanuit de bezoeker ontworpen en nagedacht waarbij ieder detail klopt. De kamers zijn enorm luxe, de faciliteiten zijn top. Zowel voor stelletjes als families echt een aanrader. 2 zwembaden met totaal andere uitstraling, fijne gym. Vlakbij het strand. Het ontbijt is echt waanzinnig. Heerlijke fruitsappen, gemengd fruit en vervolgens kan je van de kaart alles kiezen wat je kan bedenken incl. Cappuccino of andere koffie varianten. Echt een aanrader!

Cons:

Niets viel tegen. Alles wat we vroegen was mogelijk incl late check out.

Paradise in Mirissa, Monkeys Free!
Pros:

This hotel is like paradise on earth. From the minute you arrive, the slow elevator that takes you up to reception through the beautifully manicured trees and plants is like something out of a story book. All staff are incredibly friendly, and our kids live loved staying here.

After the first few hours, we cancelled a trip to another city and extended our stay here an additional day via the front desk. The two pools (one surrounded by nature in the jungle, other on the rooftop with panoramic views) were so peaceful and relaxing. The views were insanely good, with uninterrupted vantage points towards both jungle and sea.

Staff were brilliant with kids, and one of the owners came and greeted us on our first night.

This place is beautiful, one of the best resorts I have encountered globally. Our room was very spacious, clean, and so quiet at night. The sustainable nature of the hotel is an excellent touch, and the ability to see monkeys on your balcony or around the pools was a welcome treat for the kids!

Highly recommended for all travelers, this is a place you’ll never forget.

Die ganze Anlage ist zauberhaft mit dem Pool im Jungle und dem Pool auf den Dach. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Zimmer auch top. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Enorme aanrader! Beste afsluit van onze rondreis in Sri Lanka
Pros:

Enorm genoten van ons verblijf in dit hotel. Enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Niks aan te merken aan de faciliteiten. Proper en rustig zwembad, dichtbij het strand, lekker ontbijt... Ook de Nederlandstalige eigenaars zijn enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Als wij ooit terug naar Sri Lanka gaan, dan komen we zeker terug!

There are so many things that make this hotel great. Staff are welcoming and lovely; the owner made it a mission to say good morning to all his guests at breakfast. The breakfast food was delicious and I love that it’s à la carte not buffet, to try and support sustainability. The facilities are outstanding; pools were great. Perfect views. Although some people
Found getting to and from the hotel frustrating based on recent reviews, we found it therapeutic to go up via the “lift”.

Cons:

There were a few things that’s really stopped this hotel from being perfect.

1) the location of the toilet - it’s essentially right next to the shower with no screen so when you shower it gets it wet. Just didn’t seem overly hygienic!


2) the spa; do NOT get a massage there. I asked for a deep tissue and the woman basically painted me in oil and just stroked my body. She tried to pull my arm and hurt me. She then scratched my head and I had to walk out when she dumped half a pot of warm oil in my hair, which took a long time to wash out. However, the owner of the hotel was very apologetic and didn’t make me pay. But I definitely think the spa needs training.
