The breakfast buffet was excellent. I also enjoyed the dinners I had.
The air-condition did not work the first night but once I reported it to the Front Desk it was fixed expeditiously. I was on the first floor but there were three steps to go down to the room corridor from the elevator landing. This was a challenge for me as I have knee problems.
Excellent, helpful staff. Special mention for Dwayne who went above and beyond in every interaction. The location was great, too. A large supermarket opposite, and a short walk to Devon House, as well as local eateries. Convenient for corporate endeavours as well as Kingston tourism.
The breakfast service could be better. A single knife and fork on the table meant we had to ask for extra cutlery for our different courses. There were long gaps during the replenishment of the hot items. On occasion there were two supervisors/managers standing around, while the staff whizzed around excessively busy.
Additionally, accessibility within the building is poor. Lots of steps and no ramps. I observed the bell-hop remove luggage from his trolley, then manoeuvre the trolley up some stairs and then replace the items on the trolley. There must be a better way than that for him to do his job. I can't imagine how those with mobility devices manage.
The atmosphere was awesome, kids friendly but still exclusive. Will be back!
