Bed was comfortable, bed clothes were clean and towels were clean, location is very good and the room was very big
the chair looked dirty, side entrance looked grim, the carpet looked like it needed a clean, when the fan in the bathroom was on there was a smell of sewage coming into the bathroom. room needs updating, wasn't worth £100, silver tape around the ceiling edge and a hole in the bathroom wall
Everything was excellent. Cleanliness, friendly staff. Having a fridge in the room was an added bonus.
Seagulls!! These birds were squawking all night long outside the windows. But that’s not the hotel’s fault!
The location of the hotel, but not the room. Bed linen and towels were clean. Check-in and check-out was easy - though no-one greets you or checks you out. Check-out time was good allowing for a little lie in.
The smell. The hotel (we went upstairs first to find the room) and the room (Room A) had a very unpleasant smell - like a strong damp smell mixed with stale garlic. Room A on the ground floor had one small top window so not very fresh or pleasant, and overlooked a side passage and some bins. The window had to be shut due to the noise, so the room was quite stuffy and unpleasant with the smell. No TV in the room despite it being in the photos. A previous reviewer said don’t expect too much - I think this is fair. If it was 30 quid cheaper, I would agree with them (except for the smell which is not nice whatever the price), but for what we paid for Room A, it was overpriced even with not expecting too much.
Cleaner was lovely to speak to, and they had a number of appliances which is surprisingly rare.
Thoughtful curtain setup with the aim to reduce noise from the street.
Large square footage.
Right opposite the pier.
Plethora of splotches of dirt and food on the curtains and floor.
Toilet wasn't bolted to the floor and moved VERY easily.
Foul smell from the staircase area.
No luxuries unfortunately, considering the price.
No hot water.
Walls were in disrepair and the walls have obvious cracks in them.
Bathroom floor was crooked and had large dips.
No ariel or network channels for entertainment, although I'm just picking fault with this one.
Self check in was very useful as we needed to arrive late.
Great location.
Bed comfortable.
Room was quite hot,a fan in room would have been useful.
Noisy outside into early hours.
Convenience
Noise from road
Convenient
Hassle free
Excellent location
Proximity to amenities and comfortable
No parking, it cost £5 for 4hous from 8am until 8 pm which on the prom which was the closest by half a mile. We would not consider it in the fu
Room 6 was an OK sized twin room and a good sized bathroom on the top floor, cheap at 65 quid for the night for two motorcyclists. Location just 100 yards from the pier is good but that’s about all i can say that’s positive.
The seagulls are noisy and there is a bright street light just outside the window. Parking is NOT on site but is a 2-3 minute walk away at St Michael’s Church Car Park. The overzealous Parking Warden doesn’t even allow time to unload your vehicle. There is metered parking on the waterfront not far away but for a maximum of 4 hours, no return for a further 4 hours, so overnight parking is not possible. From the outside the hotel looks abandoned and entry is through the side door is a disgustingly dirty alley.
Location
Put on top floor when I said I had mobility issues and requested a ground or 1 st floor room
Rude staff and staff that had no idea what was going on bar shut at 8 pm
Good central location
Comfy bed
Quiet.... but it wasn't student season!!!!
The bathroom looked a bit tired, mouldy corners.
Really have door into bathroom.... needed a big push to open!!!!
Only 6 pots of milk for a 2 person 2 night stay... but the room had a fridge too be fair
