Quiet, comfortable room, well located for visits to local friends and family.
Pros:

We use this place regularly as have friends locally. Room is quiet and comfortable and whenever we've had breakfast its been good, though we didn't hang around this time for breakfast.

Cons:

Slight problem with the air con this visit, and being in a heatwave, room was fairly stuffy, but the management were aware and were due to fix it the next day. Otherwise, happy with everything.

Lovely place and worth another visit.
Pros:

The staff were welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the service and food were good. I would definitely recommend it.

Warm and comfortable stop just off the motorway
Pros:

The Chequers Inn is located on a road junction but we didn't hear any traffic from the room. Easy to check in, room was clean, well furnished not over fussy. The bathroom had a good shower/bath and toiletries available to use. Breakfast was good, enough variety to suit all needs. Value for money, we had a good price for a night stopover. It's in a good setting, plenty of space to park, staff friendly, tea/coffee/water, iron, hairdryer.

Cons:

We arrived just after 9 due to plane delay, and the restaurant was already closed. Had to go back out in the car to find something and would have been good if the restaurant offered a plate of chips or a sandwich just to cover those arriving late not by design.
Would also have liked two sets of towels, we only had one and I'm not a fan of sharing a bath towel. By the time I'd noticed no staff to ask.
Confusion with breakfast, paid in advance but not showing on screen so a delay in accepting. Not sure who at fault, whether it was the booking online site misinformed them, but it was cleared up.
I now know to be aware of these and would definitely stay again. It's close to where we needed to be, value for money and the room was comfortable.

lovely relaxing location
Pros:

lovely light airy room fair size very comfy bed good size bathroom

Cons:

The bathroom window in double room needs attending very grimy window sill chip in sink, the cupboard under wardrobe in bedroom had no support hooks so it fell down needs a little TLC

Very good stay at The Chequers Inn :)
Pros:

Me and my brother arrived there for the Iron Maiden concert that was happening in Knebworth. The Chequers Inn was really nice, good atmosphere, the room was big and clean, the staff was really nice to us, the breakfast is good and tasty and the overall location was pretty good too. We had a good time
