Very modern now, with excellent staff, but it lacks the charm I was looking for.
Pros:

A lot of money has been spent on its refurbishment to a high standard, but it is quite sterile.

Pros:

This hotel is beautiful. From the lobby, rooms, grounds, swimming pool area and restaurants. The whole place is stunning with amazing views. The staff were so friendly and attentive. We dined in the Amalur restaurant each evening and honestly the most delicious food, and good sized portions too.
My two girls (8 and 9) also loved this place.
There were no signs of building work at all as other reviews have said. The hotel looked completely finished and immaculate.
The swimming area was the cleanest and warmest we experienced all holiday as we travelled around a few different hotels.
This hotel is also in a great location, a pretty 10 min walk to the sea front with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommend.

Tout était absolument formidable, l’accueil et le personnel sont exceptionnellement gentil et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est merveilleux, tout y était. Les chambres ont de vues imprenables sur le volcan ou la mer. L’hôtel bénéfice de 3 piscines chauffées avec un service de bar piscine. Je suis venue avec mon chien qui a été reçu avec une grande gentillesse. Je remercie l’hôtel de nous avoir permit de passer de formidables vacances !

Inolvidable
Pros:

Ambiente muy tranquilo, ideal para desconectar. La coctelería de autor espectacular, buen desayuno y los arroces del bar piscina increíbles.
Restaurante japonés OKA una parada obligatoria. La verdad que ha sido una experiencia maravillosa tal y como lo imaginaba.

Cons:

No es que no me gustara pero la piscina podría estar más calentita porque no pude bañarme para los frioleros le faltaría un para de grados más.

It is still a soft opening so you would expect some teething problems.
The suite was very comfortable and well equipped but rather sterile/no soft touches. . We paid extra for a balcony but it was not really what we were expecting - only likely to be used if you were a smoker. No sunbeds on it and never in the sunshine anyway as it was covered. The lighting system was way too complicated. The fan came on in the middle of the night and we couldn’t turn it off.
The bar and restaurants need much lower lighting at night.
