Great location, nice hotel.
Pros:

Location. Right in the heart of the town and close to bars, restaurants and shops.
Nice lounge/restaurant area and a lovely outside seating area.
We didn't eat there but it looked to be a good menu and the breakfast was excellent.Staff very pleasant and helpful and everywhere spotlessly clean.

Cons:

Good sized room but a bit tired and In need of a bit of TLC.It was a very hot day when we arrived and the room was so hot we had to go straight out. It would have been helpful if the window had been opened and the fan switched on earlier to cool a bit before our arrival.The bathroom was functional but very outdated and tired.
Only stairs, no lift to the first floor.

Good location, parking at rear of hotel. Good price. Staff helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast service was poor. Waited over 30 minutes for a breakfast order and had to cancel due to onward journey. Service was slow and disorganised.

Very welcoming and well run hotel
Pros:

Excellent location for visiting other areas of Rutland. Staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. Good food and very nice outside courtyard area to sit.

Great location lovely atmosphere beautiful gardens. Rooms were lovely

Cons:

The only slight downside was the breakfast, it was cold mushrooms had odd taste and bacon was hard. No milk on table and had to ask for toast. Evening meal was good

The best spot to stay if you are in Uppingham
Pros:

Very friendly staff and I had a spacious room . I stayed for 5 days

Good rather than excellent
Pros:

Location excellent. Nice toiletries and lovely helpful staff.

Cons:

Rooms can be hot and windows can only be opened a little.. it was a particularly hot night when we were there.
Room quite cramped for a de- luxe. Bed described as extra large but just a double. Quite expensive for what you get. Telly reception poor so we read the paper. Bathroom very small. Toilet flushes in an over enthusiastic manner.
