Feeling like home with a large balcony overlooking Kigali
Pros:

This is an excellent hotel. We got a deluxe studio with a large balcony overlooking Kigali. The hotel provided us a very good breakfast every morning to our porch, and we can watch sunset every evening from our balcony and bed. The restaurant is very good with a wide selection. The staff went out of their way to help us and make our stay comfortable. They arranged a city tour for us. Since we have to leave early to trek gorillas, they prepared a nice breakfast basket for us the night before. We like here so much that we extended our stay here and cancelled a more expensive hotel. Highly recommended. Good value for money!

Cons:

The location is not right downtown. And the restaurant on the weekend is a bit noisy late into the night.

Eine absolute Oase der Ruhe in einer für Europäer oft hektisch wirkenden Stadt
Pros:

Das Hotel ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist auch eines der ältesten Hotels in der Stadt und ein sehr geschichtsträchtiger Ort. Das merkt man auch daran, dass immer wieder Touristen die Poolbar aufsuchen um Fotos zu machen. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und das Personal lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben das selten erlebt, vom Rezeptionisten bis hin zum Bademeister, jeder versucht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

Cons:

Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Livemusik im Garten bis 22 Uhr. Während wir diese an manchen Tagen durchaus genossen haben, ist das gerade für Safari Touristen nicht besonders hilfreich, wenn man früh aufstehen muss. Da wäre es gut, wenn man beim Check in darauf hingewiesen würde, dann hätten wir eventuell ein Zimmer in Richtung Parkplatz gewählt, um etwas mehr Schlaf zu bekommen. Das ist aber wirklich der einzige Kritikpunkt der mir einfällt, ansonsten war alles wirklich toll!

Un tuffo nel tragico passato del Ruanda
Pros:

Stanza ampia e luminosa. Buona la colazione, anche se potrebbe essere leggermente migliorata. Bella la piscina. Molto cordiale e disponibile il personale per ogni tipo di richiesta. Emozionante il fatto che nel 1994 questo albergo abbia salvato oltre mille tutsi dal genocidio (da non perdere il film Hotel Rwanda)

Hotel des Mille Collines to miejsce absolutnie wyjątkowe i jeden z najbardziej symbolicznych hoteli w całej Afryce. Już sam fakt pobytu w miejscu o tak niezwykłej historii sprawia, że doświadczenie staje się niezapomniane. To hotel, który odegrał ważną rolę podczas tragicznych wydarzeń w Rwandzie w 1994 roku i do dziś jest symbolem nadziei, odwagi i człowieczeństwa. Czuć tutaj historię na każdym kroku.

Sam hotel zrobił na nas ogromne wrażenie. Obiekt jest pięknie położony, oferuje wspaniałe widoki na Kigali i posiada wyjątkową atmosferę, której trudno szukać w innych miejscach.

Obsługa zasługuje na najwyższe uznanie. Od momentu zameldowania aż do wyjazdu czuliśmy się wyjątkowo zaopiekowani. Personel jest niezwykle uprzejmy, profesjonalny i zawsze uśmiechnięty. Widać, że pracują tutaj ludzie z pasją i ogromnym szacunkiem do gości.

Na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługują kelnerzy. Ich poziom obsługi jest naprawdę światowej klasy. Są niezwykle uprzejmi, dyskretni, pomocni i zawsze dbają o każdy detal. Dawno nie spotkaliśmy się z tak wysokim standardem serwisu. To właśnie ludzie tworzą to miejsce i sprawiają, że chce się tutaj wracać.

Ogromnym atutem hotelu jest również poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Przez cały pobyt czuliśmy się bardzo komfortowo i spokojnie. Personel ochrony działa profesjonalnie, a cały obiekt sprawia wrażenie doskonale zarządzanego.

Restauracja również stoi na bardzo wysokim poziomie. Jedzenie było smaczne, dobrze przygotowane i serwowane w przyjemnej atmosferze. Wieczory spędzone na tarasie z widokiem na Kigali pozostaną z nami na długo.

Hotel des Mille Collines to nie tylko miejsce noclegowe. To część historii Rwandy i miejsce, które ma duszę. Pobyt tutaj był dla nas czymś znacznie więcej niż zwykłym pobytem w hotelu. Była to lekcja historii, pokory i jednocześnie doświadczenie prawdziwej rwandyjskiej gościnności.

Dziękujemy całemu zespołowi za niezapomniany pobyt. Jeśli ponownie odwiedzimy Kigali, wybór będzie tylko jeden.

Old world charm
Pros:

Superb location and exceptional hospitality from all the team. This hotel has old world charm and history and a beautiful swimming pool.
