Disappointed
Pros:

Breakfast was okay.

Cons:

There was very limited parking at Wellington Lodge. We were parked on the grass amid the stinging nettles. I wouldn't recommend or want to stay there again.
Maybe if you were in the main building, you would be okay!!

Not one to be repeated.
Pros:

Location was beautiful. Decor in the mansion house was beautiful. the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

We were in a high up room in the Mansion house as we made a late booking. As there was no air con, there was a fan in the room that was entirely pointless as it emitted barely any air and the window only opened a couple of inches. A heatwave can't be helped but a fan that worked properly would have made a difference. It was far hotter in the room than outside and frankly we hated every second of being in there. Apart from 2 very friendly members of staff we found the rest pretty miserable. Basic breakfast and it just seemed that for such a beautiful location, it was distinctly average.

Ladies trip
Pros:

It is a beautiful setting with a lovely restaurant in the main building, and they have lovely staff across the board from reception bars, restaurants and housekeeping.

Cons:

Well we stayed here last year and our room was not ready at check in an hour late! The very same thing happened again this time!! No lessons learned from last year we were shocked. It is evident the staff are under pressure in housekeeping, not their fault it is a management issue! The staff at reception are having to deal with annoyed guests and having to resolve their problems due to rooms not being ready. We got an upgrade and a free drink which was very much appreciated this time but we would have been more than happy to get our room ontime! It must cost De Vere a fortune in drinks and upgrades as it is obviously an ongoing issue. Breakfast in the Manor House was stressful not enough room for people to get their breakfast ques across the room. It is set out in the middle of the room were people were mulling around front and back of hot food plates, not good for health and safety. The staff can not control when people come down for breakfast they did their best!! It needs to be organised better or longer time for breakfast to avoid bottlenecks of people! It is obviously a popular and beautiful place and it is a shame these issues leave a bad impression.

EXCELLENT HOTEL FOR A STAY FOR A WEDDING. ROOM WAS LOVELY AND BREAKFAST A GREAT CHOICE,
Pros:

All was good as had a couple of questions before my stay and they were answered promptly. It was only an overnight stay for a wedding at Silchester Farm so all was good. Room was lovely. Great choice at breakfast. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Will recommend and also go back.

Cons:

All good.
