Lovely hotel, great staff, secluded garden with shady trees and pool.
Comfortable rooms, well kept and clean.
Dinner was excellent - well prepared, nice choices.
BUT, small portions for the prices - Upper city rates for a small town hotel and small portions.
Excellent oasis along the N1. We were well looked after. It is a beautiful and charming hotel. Rooms had old school charm mixed with modern class. Lovely relaxation areas and pool. It has everything you need. Well worth a stop and visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone and come again. Has off street parking and meals can be arranged for you. Or local restaurants available too. Staff were very kind, accommodating and pleasant.

I LOVED it all!
The lady who welcomed us was great, really friendly and helpful
Hotel rooms were great
We were effectively locked in at night. All entry doors securely locked until 7am, so if I had wanted to go for an early morning walk it would have been out of the question.
We were there for one night, planned to leave at 8am. Woke up to no water, neither hot nor cold. Luckily we had some bottled water so were able to brush our teeth but we could not shower before starting an 8 hour car trip. Really not acceptable for the rates that were charged, and I think we should have received some compensation for this huge inconvenience. However we weren't even offered a bottle of water....
Disappointing.
Nice place to stop! Everything you need. Nice bar and dining!
No TV in the room and WiFi was slow…it was raining- so could not use the pool unfortunately!
Beautiful decor
Bathroom has mouldy tiles.Fridgedid not work. Toilet makes a hell of a noise
What a beautiful stop on your way to or feom CT, so peaceful. The decor and atmosphere is fantastic and the food was comforting and exceptional flavorful. We had a lovely experience and will definitely be visiting again.
No complaints
Friendly staff
The bed was a bit high to get into for a short and an elderly person, I would suggest a footstool or something at the bed.
The surrounding area was dodgy to say the least.
The area
This has always been or most famous place to stay over during our trips between JHB and Cape Town. Sadly it feels like it’s become a little dated and the whole place smells damp and mouldy.
We were saddened to hear that the staff don’t receive the tips that guests give them! It don’t feel happy to support this or return. Very sad!
The staff was FANTASTIC and helpful.
The smell.of sewerage in the roomnwe stayed i. Using the bathroom basin had a pungent sewer.smell coming from the drain. Plugging the drain and closing the bathroom door did not help with the smell
Comfy bed and good dinner
Rooms requiring maintenance. Terrible smell in the bathroom. Very small bathroom. Coffee was not good.
It was an oasis in a strange little town. The decorations were tastefully done with pieces of the surrounding bush. The staff were exceptionally nice and went out of their way to help us
The township in the area has grown close to the hotel. The poverty is very apparent. It was a bit scary coming off the main road. But once you are inside the property it was a haven
Friendly staff, clean room and a breakfast good enough for a queen.
Will defnitely recommend.
