Overall good for the price.
Pros:

The staff was very kind and friendly.
Great location.
Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The constant slamming doors day and night.
The window could not close fully and the A/C was dripping water (we could see from the damage on the wood of the window that it was not a new problem).

Exceptional on every level
Pros:

Everything at Tars Place was perfect. This was my third time staying with them and I recommend it to everyone thinking about traveling to Bangkok and wanting to be in an area that is well centered and still peaceful. Khao San Road is a walking distance, the hotel offers their own tuktuk service to take guests to the main attractions nearby, there is the ferry boat that takes you to the other part of the city and metro is nearby.
The staff are always nice and friendly. I am definitely staying with them again next time I'm in the city.

Cons:

There was nothing I did not like. Everything was great!
