Zoe Hora – luxe op papier, teleurstelling in de praktijk

Wat een tegenvaller! De gangen galmen alsof je in een parkeergarage slaapt, deuren worden zonder deurdrangers met volle overtuiging dichtgesmeten en op het complex werd tot diep in de nacht gefeest. Rustig slapen was blijkbaar geen onderdeel van het arrangement.

Onze kamer leek een van de nieuwste, maar was desondanks al flink verouderd, uitgeleefd en slecht onderhouden. De televisie had een flinke barst in het scherm, de airco lekte boven het bed en de lege shampooflesjes van de vorige gasten stonden nog gezellig op de douchekop. Schoonmaak met oog voor detail was blijkbaar even gesloten. Een stoel ontbrak, maar gelukkig stond er een bijzonder laag tafeltje, zodat je gezellig op de grond kon zitten. Het balkon was volgepropt met twee ligbedden, twee stoelen en een kapotte schommelstoel. De plantenbakken op het complex fungeerden als balustrade: creatief, maar niet bepaald veilig.

Veel voorzieningen waren gesloten of nog in aanbouw. Relaxzone zonder enige stoelen of ligbedden. Neem dus vooral je yoga matje mee zodat je op de grond kan zitten of liggen. Ook het personeel wist de ervaring niet te redden; vriendelijk en gastvrij komen niet in hun woordenboek voor.

Het hoogtepunt was de reservering van onze extra nacht. Deze was vooraf telefonisch bijgeboekt en via WhatsApp bevestigd. Bij aankomst bleek er niets geregeld. Een excuus of enige interesse bleef uit. Er werd beloofd dat alles die dag in orde zou komen, maar die belofte werd niet nagekomen. De volgende dag moesten we zelf achter een update aan. Klantenservice op z'n best!

Hadden we vooraf geweten wat ons te wachten stond, dan hadden we onze rondreis zo gepland dat we hier geen twee nachten hoefden te verblijven. Veel beloftes, weinig comfort en nog minder gastvrijheid. Voor ons absoluut geen tweede keer.

For the price I expected a few things to be better, for example when we arrived (hours after check in) the receptionist said they didn't have our room key and the previous guests took it. Considering we came about 3/4 hours later from check in i didn't expect this. Also the fridge wasn't cold so I kept having to ask the bar for ice for the drinks we had in our room and the air-conditioning stopped working on our second night. We notified staff and had to chase them to do something about it. Also we paid for a couples massage which was great but the spa pool itself was not as advertised on social media and the lights were flashing the whole time. It just seemed to be forgotten in the way it was left. Also on our second night there was a wedding which was obviously loud, I expected the hotel to atleast notify us of this as the music was playing late into the night. Which of course is what you would expect for a wedding but it seems they forgot to tell the rest of guests who were there. I think it's a great hotel but for the price I expected things to be abit more organised.

The only thing we didn’t like was the road to the property because Google maps don’t exactly lead the correct way in the beginning but even then it wouldn’t ever stop me from coming to visit this heaven of a place.

The pool area shut at 5pm which felt way too early considering it opens at 10 and there’s still plenty of sun.
Our entire kitchen was empty, no bowls, wine glasses, cutlery or anything which was a shame.

We had one dinner at the Zoe Hora restaurant which was super disappointing, the service wasn’t good and the portions were tiny!! Way too over priced for how little the portions are.

Teilweise ist das Personal sehr unfreundlich. Es liegt zwischen den Gassen oft sehr viel Müll und ist teilweise stark verdreckt und wird erst nach 1/2 Tagen entsorgt. Das housekeeping, hat bei uns von 3 Nächten nur 1x geklappt. Entweder war unser Zimmer zu weit weg und es wurde nicht gesehen oder vergessen?! Die sonnenstühle am Pool sind viel zu wenige aber das ist dem Platz geschuldet. Die Gäste reservieren teilweise schon um 8 Uhr morgens die liegen obwohl der Pool erst um 10 Uhr öffnet. Wir haben deshalb am 2. Tag bereits um 9 Uhr morgens schon keine Liege mehr bekommen. Die Gäste gehen auch nachmittags zum Teil von Pool und schauen sie die Umgebung an und lassen aber ihre Handtücher auf der liege, sodass kaum ein Wechsel möglich ist.
Wichtig zu wissen, dass man auch als Hotelgast einen Tisch für das Dinner reservieren muss!
Zum Frühstück: öl und Essig dazu stellen - ich wollte einen Tee bestellen und das gab es keinen. Am nächsten Morgen hatten andere Hotelgäste aber Teekannen auf dem Tisch. Kommt wohl auf die Bedienung an.
