Pros:

A pleasant, hassle-free stay. The staff were polite and friendly, the room was fine, and the cleanliness was okay.
The hotel is close to the city centre, the local market, shops and cafés. The location right next to the railway station is a big plus, although you should expect train noise throughout the day and night. I recommend asking for a room on the other side of the building and bringing earplugs.
Overall, I recommend it, especially for budget travellers exploring Egypt.

Es gibt nicht allzuviel Auswahl an Unterkünften in Sohag. Für uns war es nur Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anfahrt ist nicht ganz leicht durch die schmalen Gassen. Toll war die bewachte Parkmöglichkeit, die geschaffen wurde. Danke! Das Zimmer war einfach, alles ist in die Jahre gekommen. Für unseren Bedarf war es in Ordnung, aber wer Komfort und Schönheit sucht, muss woanders hin Wie schon von anderen Reisenden erwähnt ist der direkt angrenzende Bahnhof sehr geräuschintensiv. Wir waren von einem anstrengenden Tag müde genug um dennoch schlafen zu können. Wer von Haus aus keinen guten Schlaf hat, wird hier auch keinen finden.

The hotel is extremely close to the train station, and the noise from the trains is very disturbing and runs 24/7 without interruption. The constant noise makes it very difficult to sleep, and it’s almost impossible to focus or get any work done in such an environment. Honestly, the location alone makes the whole experience very poor.

Pros:

Sohag was one of the highlights of my trip around Egypt, and I’m really glad I chose to stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and I even made some great friends during my stay at the hotel. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout. A positive experience overall.
