Lion Gate Hotel Sigiriya

La chambre très grande et spacieuse.

Primera parada en Sri Lanka y la verdad que hemos alucinado, un hotel súper agradable, muy bien ubicado y con el mejor servicio y atención que hemos recibido, Janith es un chico que trabaja en el hotel, es un maquina y una gran persona, nos ha tratado de 10, recomiendo mucho este hotel de verdad y Sandali la chica de recepción muy amable también.
Le hemos regalado a Janith una camiseta del Barça que teníamos por el gran servicio que nos ha dado.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die kleine Hotelanlage ist liebevoll gestaltet, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war groß, sauber und hatte einen schönen Balkon. Auch der Pool war sehr gepflegt und ideal zum Entspannen. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns außerdem die tolle Lage, der Lion Rock ist von hier aus sehr gut zu erreichen.

The hospitality and warmth of the staff really made our trip memorable. Particularly Mr. Bernard - he went the extra mile and helped us plan out our activities for the days we were there, and arranged transport with a very professional, friendly and accommodating tuktuk driver. The entire Lion Gate team was extremely responsive to our requests and genuinely welcoming. The pool is also perfect for a quick dip after a long day of exploring sigiriya and the surrounds.

Personnel très gentils et accueillants. La chambre été propre, et il y avait tout ce qu’il faut. Il y avait des moustiquaires sur les fenêtres de la salle de bain. John Bernard a bien pris soin de nous.

Hotel muy recomendable. Está muy bien ubicado, cerca de todo: hay varios restaurantes a los que se puede ir andando y el Lion Rock está a menos de 5 minutos en tuk-tuk.

El hotel estaba impecablemente limpio, con un agradable olor a limpio en todo momento, y además es muy bonito, de los mejores de la zona. El personal fue súper amable y atento, especialmente el encargado, que estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento.

La relación calidad-precio es excelente, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que la zona es un poco más cara. Además, el desayuno era muy completo y diferente cada día.

Sin duda, volveríamos a alojarnos aquí.

La piscina era espectacular y la habitación era súper grande. El desayuno estaba muy bien.

Gutes Frühstück, nettes und hilfreiches Personal, toller Pool, Zimmer sind sauber

Alles ziet er netjes en schoon uit. Er zijn maar 6 kamers dus lekker rustig

Na onze eerste overnachtingen in Negombo, waar we iets minder tevreden waren over het hotel, kwamen we op de tweede dag van onze reis aan bij Lion Gate Hotel. Wat een geweldige verrassing!

Het hotel is in 2024 gebouwd en is heerlijk kleinschalig. Op dit moment beschikt het over vier tweepersoonskamers en twee familiekamers, met nog twee extra kamers in aanbouw.

Vanaf het eerste moment zorgen Janith, Sadali en chef-kok Senavirathna ervoor dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Ze zijn ontzettend vriendelijk, gastvrij, behulpzaam en doen er alles aan om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken.

Iedere ochtend bereidt de chef een ander traditioneel Sri Lankaans ontbijt. Normaal gesproken zouden wij hier waarschijnlijk niet snel voor kiezen, maar alles wat we kregen was vers, van uitstekende kwaliteit en vooral ontzettend lekker. We hebben ook één avond in het hotel gegeten en ook dat was echt fantastisch.

Direct naast het hotel zit bovendien een nieuw koffiezaakje. Ben je liefhebber van koffie, haal daar dan zeker een cappuccino – absoluut een aanrader!

Onze dank gaat uit naar het hardwerkende personeel, dat ons verblijf onvergetelijk heeft gemaakt. Wij kunnen Lion Gate Hotel dan ook van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een kleinschalig, gastvrij en kwalitatief uitstekend verblijf in de omgeving van Sigiriya.

Bernard and the staff were amazing!! Was such an excellent place to stay. Highly recommend.

La limpieza extraordinaria. Es moderno y habitación muy amplia. Hay secador , plancha y tendedero para la ropa, lo cuál es una ventaja. El personal muy amable, aunque un pelín lentos, pero es lo normal en Sri Lanca. Bien ubicado pues cerca hay diferentes restaurantes. El desayuno es el estándar del país (correcto) fruta,huevos, pan,mantequilla y mermelada, tortitas etc. se puede comer y cenar en el hotel a precios razonables .El chef y su equipo son un encanto. Piscina con agua limpísima y un jardín bien cuidado. Relación calidad precio: muy bueno

Staff - Property - Food

Everything was clean, and the manager was very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was good, especially the freshly made egg omelets. The pool was clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice spacious rooms, big comfortable bed, great shower and the pool was lovely! Staff were friendly and helpful. They had great recommendations and organised a few things for us at a decent price.
