Nothing much
Very run down not very clean
The only thing was the location
Everything it was dirty the staff were not very helpful room was disgusting
We were there for a concert so location was good. Staff were helpful. We did have a seafacing room.
The hotel is tired, dated and dirty. We had a sink in our bedroom and not in the bathroom which is very unhygienic. The shower had mould and the extractor fan looked like it had never been cleaned. The carpet was stained and sticky. We paid £160 for one night as there was a concert, but this is a massive rip off as we should not have paid more than £60 for tired dated, dirty hotel.
Not clean in the bathroom
Floors had not been cleaned
Lamp had stained shade
TV barely worked
Switched on the fan and it sent dust everywhere
Shower banged and pulsed.. it needs fixing
Location
Room was filthy, dust, previous occupants toiletries left in bathroom, windows filthy, breakfast over cooked and poor quality
It was neat to OAT
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Room 314 was very old and tired. It smelt of scale cigarettes and lots of marks on walks and carpets. Not worth the £176 at all but the bed was clean and comfy and the room served its purpose
The hotel was so overpriced £178 for 1 night and then you have to pay to park. The hotel is dated, requires modernisation.
The price, the room, no parking
The location was great
The room was not very clean at all
The view was great and easy to get to the hotel
You could not see out of the window in the room we were allocated (blown double glazing and very dirty
Paint was hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom
We put the fan on because it was hot to find we got covered in dust which was all around the carpet edge as well.
Staff and location
The fact its not had much investment in many years and they charge 2.5 x the normal rate when there is a gig in town. So you have no choice . Shame
Not a lot
It was old and poor decoration. Lots of dirty marks on carpets, dust in all corner of rooms.Very basic and not worth the £150 we were charged.
Comfortable bed but maybe that's because there was a mattress topper on it? Clean sheets.
There was thick dust in all corners of the rooms even my 10 year old was disgusted.
Bathroom had dust around the toilet floor and bin and there was damp and leakage marks all on the ceiling and wall above the shower. ALSO, windows were filthy! Barely any milk, sugar for a cup of tea as well. There was no soap in the body wash and shampoo on the wall. I'd forgotten mine :-(
Price was good, and room was clean.
Communal areas were a bit dated and tired.
The staff were lovely and friendly. Nice breakfast. Clean room. Great location. Lovely views and nice walk to the beach and the OpenAir Theatre. Lift in property and parking permits to make up for small car park.
Could hear other guests, doors slamming etc. Chink of light coming through gap in door. Shower was a bit weird sort of chugging out and making a noise. Curtains were frayed. I think it just needs a bit of updating and for £180 a night it was slightly overpriced in that respect.
Staff was lovely, bed was clean and breakfast was tasty
Bathroom was grim, waited to get home before showering, couldn't see out windows because they were dirty, although breakfast was tasty it wasn't worth £12 each
