Pros:

A fantastic hotel, with a great location. Just around the corner from the metro, and only a couple of stops from the main station. Also an easy walk across the river to the narrow lanes. Room was a good size, and the beds were huge.

Cons:

Only small niggle was the lack of coffee in the room. There is a free coffee machine at reception, but you have to go down to get it. Whereas in the room there is a kettle and tea bags. Only a small thing though.

Cons:

The location is very convenient for Kyoto, which was the best part of our stay. However, we were disappointed that the rooms were not cleaned every day. The hotel explains this as an eco-friendly policy, but we believe there could be better ways to support sustainability without compromising guest comfort. Although fresh towels were provided daily, not having the room cleaned made the stay feel less comfortable. The staff could also have been more helpful. The rooms are small, but the location is good overall.

Cozy, comfortable, very good location.
Pros:

The location is very convenient, is very near to most of the shrines, the metro station is not far away too, and the surrounding is veery cozy, good neighborhood. Very good breakfast, very friendly staff. We have sent our luggage to the airport and they helped a lot.
They provided excellent cosmetics, they were so good, we bought them in the Duty free later.

Cons:

IDK, the view from the window was not their, I wished to have any view on the street, but I don't think this is a huge drawback.

Great place to stay for a couple of nights only.
Pros:

The short activities conducted in the hotel for guests like windchime painting and dance performance of a Maiko. 24 hour coffee availability

Cons:

Room was a bit congested and cleaning was done only once during our 5 night stay. This was of course mentioned in the website.
