Very lovely and friendly staff. The room was big and it had amenities listed. Also a really awesome music/ tea room with couches, pool table, coffee/ tea, piano. Extremely comfy bed and pillows. So much space in the room with heating. We went down after breakfast was closed however the lovely lady offered to make us something
The spa bath was dirty and it’s slightly run down looking which wasn’t really portrayed in the photos and description. I learnt they do spooky ghost tours so that explains the old school/ spooky sort of look which is very cool but I wasn’t expecting that.
Lovely
Nothing

The cleanliness of the property.
Beautiful old world house.
Good location but front rooms are noisy from highway traffic.
No mirror in the bathroom to do make-up or hair.
Kettle in room but no powerpoint to use other than one across the room on the floor.
The beds were very squeaky. Every time you roll over it woke the other person.
Breakfast could have been better if there was hot water for tea, butter/margarine for toast and most important - if the room was heated. The breakfast room was freezing.
The library is beautiful but when the fire isn't lit, there's no reason to be in there. At a previous stay, there was a bottle of port available for guest use while sitting around the fire.
This is a beautiful old house, just needs the ambience back - warmth !
Location
The bathroom is old and there was a shower with no walls just curtains and it was tiny.
Friendly staff , 1800s charm. Warm.
Dust plus plus on bathroom fan, bedroom fan, and furniture.
Not as described on website, not updated.
Australian Flag needs replacing, ripped completely
Excellent position, a 5min walk to town

Building is beautiful and historic
Unfortunately room wasn't very clean. Biscuit wrappers, a shower cap and dental floss left in room from previous guests. Mirror in bathroom not clean, broken tiles in shower, mess on shower curtain. Central heating meant room was very hot and it was so dusty in the room that it was uncomfortable.
Decoration was amazing! the backyard was lovely. the breakfast was acceptable.
Amazing vibes, boutique hotel. Close (5mins) from trails
A beautiful period House built in 1830 with original character furniture, furnishing art and a lovely library on site. The rooms are spacious clean and well furnished including with period furniture.. accommodation has central heating and was cozy and loved the electric blankets on the beds, as well as the toiletry pack that was very generous. The breakfast was good too and the manager was very accommodating and made the guests coffee and was very helpful.
3 times I confirmed whether we could check in at 1 pm (normal check-in 2-7), as we had a wedding at 2.30 in Megalong Valley. 3 times they said no problem. Even double-checked the day of accommodation (6/3/26). As we were heading to the accommodation, we received a call from 'someone' saying they were on their way?!?!?
Admittedly, we did arrive at 12.30, but we would have gone for coffee or had lunch. However, when we arrived, the hotel was shut up, no one around. Called the number that rang us as we were en route, no answer, called the number on the front door, no answer. We waited until 1.50 at which time we had to make a decision, as we had no access to anything, and we had to get dressed on the verandah, which also meant we couldn't shower, do my hair or simply get ready for what was an important family wedding. As we were heading into Megalong Valley, approximately 2:15 pm, we received a call from the person who called earlier in the day (approx. 12noon) to advise they were on their way - they were very surprised to learn we were not happy, would not be heading there after the wedding, or ever again. no apologies just questioning 'so you won't be coming back!' they then hung up on me
anything
This is a beautiful heritage building, with all the warmth and comfort of a home. It is large and spacious, our bed was very comfortable, breakfast in the dining room was generous and lovely. The location is very close to Blackheath and Katoomba. And our host was delightful. I would stay here again.
