Location to town was great, 10 minute flat walk. Beautiful home style, with antiques and curios. Exactly what you would expect in a mountain stay, not a motel room box. Lovely common lounge area with pool table, great when you are traveling with a group so you are not confined to a room. Also a fab library with 100's of books. Beds comfy, towels lovely and soft. Virginia very helpful. Breakfast is adequate enough with bananas, yoghurt, white bread and raisin bread, hard boiled eggs and all the jams and usual spreads. Coffee machine with full cream dairy only. If you want gluten free or dairy free be sure to bring your own. Fridge for use in the common tea room off the lounge.
Nothing really, took a long time for hot water to come in the shower but when it came it was hot.
Attractive historic cottage with old world charm within walking distance of Blackheath village.
Quiet room despite location close to main road.
Friendly welcoming hosts.
Generously sized and well furnished areas for communal guest use.
Bathroom tiling is very tired looking and toilet roll holder was broken.
Single bed spring base in this room makes an annoying creaking noise whenever the occupant moves.
Stairs to the breakfast room are quite steep.
The common spaces. When you travel with a group the lounge area, pool table, massive tv and library are great spaces for a group to come together. Continental breakfast is good. Town is a short walk away. Comfortable good size rooms.
Nothing really. Hot water took a while to come but nice and hot.

Very lovely and friendly staff. The room was big and it had amenities listed. Also a really awesome music/ tea room with couches, pool table, coffee/ tea, piano. Extremely comfy bed and pillows. So much space in the room with heating. We went down after breakfast was closed however the lovely lady offered to make us something
The spa bath was dirty and it’s slightly run down looking which wasn’t really portrayed in the photos and description. I learnt they do spooky ghost tours so that explains the old school/ spooky sort of look which is very cool but I wasn’t expecting that.
decor - amazing
facilities - pool table, common room, coffee, Bfast, TV
the place is WARM, it was cold outside - 8 C. I was feelong comfy in Tshirt
host - wonderful, funny, welcoming
Lovely
Nothing
The cleanliness of the property.
Beautiful old world house.
Good location but front rooms are noisy from highway traffic.
No mirror in the bathroom to do make-up or hair.
Kettle in room but no powerpoint to use other than one across the room on the floor.
The beds were very squeaky. Every time you roll over it woke the other person.
Breakfast could have been better if there was hot water for tea, butter/margarine for toast and most important - if the room was heated. The breakfast room was freezing.
The library is beautiful but when the fire isn't lit, there's no reason to be in there. At a previous stay, there was a bottle of port available for guest use while sitting around the fire.
This is a beautiful old house, just needs the ambience back - warmth !
Location
The bathroom is old and there was a shower with no walls just curtains and it was tiny.
Friendly staff , 1800s charm. Warm.
Dust plus plus on bathroom fan, bedroom fan, and furniture.
Not as described on website, not updated.
Australian Flag needs replacing, ripped completely
Excellent position, a 5min walk to town
Nothing
Close to shops
Building is beautiful and historic
Unfortunately room wasn't very clean. Biscuit wrappers, a shower cap and dental floss left in room from previous guests. Mirror in bathroom not clean, broken tiles in shower, mess on shower curtain. Central heating meant room was very hot and it was so dusty in the room that it was uncomfortable.
Decoration was amazing! the backyard was lovely. the breakfast was acceptable.
