Very good location, pool area good although surprised it closed @ 5 when we were still there in sun
Pros:

Room comfortable, lovely view but maybe a bit soulless. Receptionist very helpful

Cons:

Room could have been a bit more homely. Pool should remain open after 5 in the summer

Pros:

Quiet location

Cons:

Booked a seaview room , double glazed unit in one of the windows misted
Windows only open an inch, room was too hot and the fan just blew the hot air around
Built in aircon useless.

Buyer beware, Bournemouth is not what it once was
Pros:

The location is good and the rooms are clean

Cons:

The biggest issue for me was the aftercare. Several months after my stay, I received a parking charge notice alleging that I had overstayed. However, I left when I checked out, so I do not understand how an overstay could have occurred. By that point I no longer had my parking receipt to dispute it. The notice alleged an overstay rather than non-payment, which suggests my payment had been recorded. This experience prompted me to leave this review. I would advise future guests to keep all parking receipts in case they are needed later.

As for the hotel itself, this used to be a five-star hotel, but in my opinion it no longer lives up to that standard. It was clean, tidy and comfortable, but the property is looking tired and, considering the price charged, I did not feel it offered good value for money.

Guests should also be aware that some nearby hotels are currently being used to accommodate asylum seekers. During my stay, I found groups congregating outside and, when walking into Bournemouth, I found the atmosphere intimidating. Others may have a different experience, but it did affect our enjoyment of the stay.

Ruined 2 night weekend
Pros:

The pool area was nice. There was a blond guy working the bar on Sunday night, he was lovely.

Cons:

We were able to check-in from 4pm. So we left our luggage and went to a beach bar for our son-in-laws surprise 30th birthday. There were approx 25 of us. Within minutes the other parties were getting calls from booking.com asking if they'd like to book a room for £300 even though they already had a room booked and prepaid. Everyone then started to panic that they would have nowhere to stay. So we had a booking til 4 then all of us went to the hotel. My husband and I were ok. But we had 2 pregnant woman with no rooms and several others. So as you can imagine, our daughter was stressing and it totally ruined the saturday night.

The reception staff weren't helpful at all. We ended up being able to get 6 rooms out of 10. All 10 had been prebooked months ago. We were all supposed to stay Saturday and Sunday. However the pregnant lady and 3 other couples ended up having to sleep on people's floors. They were so i comfortable. So much so that they all went home a day early so the Sunday was also ruined. Those that were left tried to have the best time but both nights were ruined. Our room was also boiling room 124. It was very tired and needed a refurb.
Weve been to Bournemouth and booked through booking.com loads of times but this has really put us off. The pool couldve done with a really.good clean too

Great location, lovely room and lovely staff
Pros:

Our room was excellent, large with fantastic sea view and air con. Nice bedding and towels. The staff were all very pleasant

Cons:

Disabled access wasn’t so great with a long wait to get someone to help with the disabled lift to get the mobility scooter up from entry level to the facilities and a long wait to get the key to the disabled loo.

good location but cost per night really too expensive and requires improvement or price change.
Pros:

The location was convenient. we had nice time at the swimming pool.

Cons:

The room was very hot when arrived, open windows but just brought more heat in. The fans were working poorly, as barely could feel the wind. As a result the sleep with young kids was difficult.
price £250 per night, but room facilities just didn’t meet up the price charged.
Shower was either really boiling hot or too cold - hard to find right temperature and flushing the toilet was not working properly.
Breakfast range and quality didn’t meet expectations and food was not well prepared.
