However, our overall satisfaction was significantly reduced by how our booking issue was handled.

We booked a room with a window and a queen bed, but upon check-in, we were given a room without the window and with two single beds. We went back to the reception and explained that this was not what we had booked. The receptionist told us that there was only one room with a window and it had already been given to another guest who booked earlier and had checked in.

If the room was already unavailable, it should not have been shown as available when we made our booking. We would simply have booked another room or hotel.

The receptionist said she would inform her boss, who then told us there was nothing they could do. I had to be the one to suggest that some form of compensation should be offered. In the end, they allowed us to pay RM16 less by removing the tax.

To be honest, the RM16 is not the issue. We can easily afford it. What disappointed me was that the management did not proactively offer any solution or compensation. Even after the discount was given, it did not feel like a sincere gesture—it felt like something they only offered because I suggested it.

The stay itself was otherwise pleasant, but the way this complaint was handled left a bad impression. I hope the management can take more responsibility and handle similar situations more professionally and sincerely in the future.

Booked 2 room, one of the rooms has piles of dust on top of the bedhead board and at the bottom of the wardrobe. The wardrobe door couldn't slide properly and falling from side to side. No flat counter to place our toiletry in the bathroom. The bidet handheld spray was connected to one of the double spouts but the on-off lever only control to the other spout, which meant the bidet handheld spray was just for show, there will be no water coming out from it. 2 of the windows lever handle had dropped, instead of fixing a new one, they actually used a screw to secure the windowpane to the frame. But because the windowpane was hollow and there was no solid contact for the screw to be tighten, the window opened and the room smell very bad when was low tide in the evening. Worse on top of the worse was we had to set the TV channel to watch the Tv program, total 4 or 5 channel, Chinese channel had no sound, and after switching to another channel, the whole TV had to be reset again and it was not a smart TV you can't watch the YouTube channel. For information, the staff knock off at 6.20pm. We were told to us a token to unlock the main entrance door when the staff was off from works. However, one of our tokens was not working, luckily, we had a token of another room, else all of us would be locked outside. We had booked Skycity because of the review that is near to the jetty and is clean, but in actual, other than is near to the jetty, everything else is very disappointing. Budget Room should not be equal to badly maintained room. The room number was 201 to be exact.
