You've got to try and figure it out as you go. Could be it's appeal but I would have appreciated more help regarding the kitchen area and where to deposit the keys afterwards. Consult previous reviews for helpful tips!
A very hidden gem of a hotel right in the heart of the city. Incredibly comfortable walking time to any destination and an overall charming interior design that looked both cute and stylish. Very clean facility with every necessity provided, fresh towels, clean sheets, a big TV and comfortable sofa as well as a small kitchen with a kettle. On top of that, we were greated with some of the most delicious little chocolates on the counter. Not to mention the bathroom and kitchen were seperated from the main room by a "hidden" sliding door, disguised as a bookshelf, incredibly charming! Though we stayed only a couple days, we would love to return in the near future. The only minus for us was the uncertainty on how to check out but after lounging around in the main hallway and deciding to leave the key in the entrance box, we also met with the Owner/Manager of the place by accident and he showed us how to check out (which was basically just leaving the key in the front door locker, but not the one we took it out from. It was a matching locker with a letter instead of a number.) Overall our stay was a positive experience and we are delighted to book this suite again when we come back for more cheese ;)
Please put a small guide on how to check out properly in the suite or on the entrance door! If we didn't get assistance when leaving, we would've simply put the key back where we got it instead of the dedicated locker!
Rustige ligging midden in het centrum van Alkmaar. Alles was prima in orde in de kamer. Bed was goed er is een keukentje met koelkast en koffiezetapparaat en waterkoker. Badkamer dik in orde.

Die Lage ist fantastisch. Unser Gasteber war sehr nett und hat uns gute Tipps für die Abendgestaltung und das Frühstück gegeben. Die Fahrräder konnten etwas kompliziert, aber sicher abstellen. Das Zimmer ist sehr aufwendig und ungewöhnlich eingerichtet. Kleine Küche ist vorhanden.
Das Fenster liegt 50 cm gegenüber einer hohen Wand, lässt kaum Licht rein und öffnen kann man es auch nicht. Die Einrichtung hätte ich deswegen hell gewählt und nicht so dunkel.

Location was fantastic right in the middle of bustling Alkmaar, relatively near the train station! Was perfect for our trip and having the massive bed with a big TV was a fantastic bonus too.
