Pros:

The staff were great and helpful.
The room was bigger than described and very comfortable.
Food was good quality.
Location was good.

Cons:

Pricing of the evening meal could be lower with a few alternative dishes. The mark up on the Wine was far too high, especially on price per glass.

Perfect stay!
Pros:

Loved it! Gorgeous cascading hanging baskets on the front of the building framed a peerless view, so we just sat in the beautifully maintained gardens, drinking cold cider from the bar, and enjoyed it for an hour or two. Just great! Dinner and breakfast both good.

Cons:

Nothing. All good!

Excellent but food could be a little better.
Pros:

Staff, Location and general fee of the hotel are 10/10. You won't get a nicer view from the Hotel and the local pub on the river is perfect too.

Cons:

Dinner wasn't as good as expected. I had lamb which was cooked perfectly but the rest of the meal was a little bland. My wife had the chicken was delicious and nothing to complain about. The cooked breakfast next day was very good but the Scrambled egg and Smoked salmon wasn't quite up to the standard you'd expect with the Fell. Its a shame because the place is amazing and the staff are lovely so you expect the food to be just as good no matter what you order.

Great option for overnight stay with a dog! Dinner menu was fantastic.
Pros:

Dinner was very good - catered for me really well being coeliac /gluten free. Really good food. Consideration for dogs was also very good - well thought out. Views onto fells from front of hotel lovely. Manager was extremely efficient.

Cons:

Totally understand that because you cater for dogs condition of decor suffered. A lot of poor paintwork and scratched decor, damaged carpets etc. Stairwell rough condition. Our bathroom was very clean, but room not so - all mirrors dirty. Pillows gutless, and mattress very bad. Lighting was full blast or not enough.
A few problems noted with leaking glass units and obscured views in the hotel at the front and main stairwell. Real shame that glass section in breakfast room at front with fantastic view was obscured by cloudy window. Needed replacing urgently.
Food at breakfast extremely processed - no fresh healthy options ie natural yoghurt, fresh fruit, whole meal bread - bacon and cooked breakfast options very greasy. Orange juice not fresh.
