Perfect stay
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful hotel arrived late so didn’t get to experience it that much, lovely modern room great breakfast & great location for the train station for the ride from nana oya to Ella thoroughly recommend

bad location...poor breakfast...unfriendly staff...ceramic shampoo bottle slipped from hand during shower; ceramic shreds & fragments pierced into feet..instead of providing first aid to guest all that hotel staff cared was for compensation for bottle breakage which started with SLR 3000 but when manager spoke to owner cost increased to SLR 4000

Lovely Hotel, but a Concern About the Drinking Water
Cons:

Overall, the hotel was very nice, with modern facilities and friendly, helpful staff. We had no complaints about the service or accommodation.

However, I would like to share one concern about the drinking water provided in the room.

I assumed the water in the glass bottle was mineral water, as is usually provided in hotels. I drank it, but my husband didn't. Unfortunately, I experienced vomiting and diarrhoea throughout the night and developed a fever the following morning.

What made me question the water was something that happened during checkout. A staff member asked whether we had taken the glass bottle. I explained that we had thrown the empty bottle into the bin. After finding it in the bin, he confirmed that there would be no charge.

This made me wonder whether the bottles were being reused and possibly refilled. I cannot say for certain whether the water caused my illness or how the bottles were refilled, but the experience did raise some concerns.

Apart from this, everything else about the hotel was very good.

I simply want to remind other guests to be cautious about the drinking water provided in the glass bottles. I would personally recommend buying your own sealed bottled water, just to be on the safe side.

Pros:

Excellent location in the middle of Nuwara Eliya from where you can easily stroll to nearby shops (although the Super Keells is closer to a 20-30 minute walk.) The staff was helpful, clear and accommodating. We did not have the chance to try breakfast or room service at this hotel so we cannot speak much to it. We did, however, try dinner on one of the days and found it very good with exemplary service from Merivin. Rooms were beautiful with multiple lighting options, and felt very spacious with 3 of us in there. The provision of a heater was much needed! Hair dryer was also great, especially with how chilly Nuwara Eliya gets in October.

Cons:

The bathroom had no ventilation, to the point where we could spread out a towel on a rack for 16+ hours and it would still be damp. There was also a noticeable smell arising from the shower drain.

Friendly and kind staff at the front desk, facility new
Pros:

The location's awesome, steps away from the bus station. Stuffs are extremely friendly and could organise the excursion for you easily. Facilities are new, with lift equipped, convenient for suitcases.

Cons:

The promotion campaign outside a bit loud in the daytime.

Хороший сервис в ресторане. Неплохой завтрак.

Cons:

В номере было душно, кондиционера нет. Если открываешь окно, то засыпаешь под лай собак и звуки проезжающих тук туков.

nada más llegar nos ofrecieron un chocolate caliente que estaba muy, muy rico, mientras esperábamos a que nuestra habitación estuviese limpia. Ya subiendo en el ascensor nos informaron del upgrade de nuestra habitación, ofreciéndonos una superior y con vistas, en lugar de la interior que teníamos reservada. Detalle que agradecimos enormemente, ya que la habitación era perfecta. Destaco la limpieza, la comodidad de la cama, el baño totalmente nuevo, lo céntrico y bonito que es el hotel, y el desayuno, que es muy completo y estaba todo rico

No aisla bien el ruido y el resto de huespedes eran escandalosos

Une expérience malheureusement décevante pour notre séjour à Nuwara Eliya.

La chambre était convenable dans l’ensemble, mais plusieurs points nous ont vraiment dérangés : literie sale, aucune fenêtre et surtout une très mauvaise insonorisation. Nous n’avons pratiquement pas dormi de la nuit, notamment à cause d’un bruit permanent ressemblant à celui d’un chauffe-eau ou d’une machine.

Côté restauration, l’expérience est plus positive. Le personnel du restaurant est très agréable et attentionné. La carte propose un peu de tout, sans réelle spécialité particulière. La nourriture est convenable et le petit-déjeuner est copieux.

Nous avions choisi Nuwara Eliya notamment pour son atmosphère et son héritage colonial britannique. Nous avons donc été déçus de ne retrouver aucun véritable charme ou style colonial anglais dans cet établissement. Il s’agit par ailleurs d’un tout petit hôtel, ce qui est bon à savoir avant de réserver.

Personnellement, je ne choisirais pas cet hôtel pour un prochain séjour à Nuwara Eliya, principalement à cause du bruit, du manque d’insonorisation et de l’absence du charme que nous recherchions.

Ziet er aan de binnenkant erg leuk en verzorgd uit, prima locatie in het centrum, goed verzorgd ontbijt

Cons:

De bedden kraakten enorm dus al de een zich omdraait wordt de ander ook wakker. Daarnaast zijn de muren erg dun, dus last van luidruchtige mede gasten.
