From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
Heritage Charges (Caj Warisan) will be changed RM10 per room, per day starting 1st January 2025.
For Prestigious Events, a charge of RM20 per room, per night will apply during Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA), Le Tour De Langkawi, Ironman, and Oceanman Malaysia

Even though it’s a newer building, I believe? It looks run down! The carpets were stained, the wood flooring in the room scratched, the bathrooms had black spots (hopefully not mold) and the sheets had a mildew smell to them.
The Service, the hospitality, the friendly staff, the swimming pool, the location, all amazing. I would like to give special thanks to MOHAMMAD IRYON, FARIHA, and every member of the staff. Thanks Riyatz Hotel for everything.

Everything - the friendliest and flexibility of reception staff allowing us to postpone and we couldn’t fly because of the war, the staff without exception - cleaning, restaurant, management (Asst. Manager in restaurant at breakfast at top of his game), Ramesh both worked in restaurant in morning and Thai restaurant at night really friendly and helpful but all staff are hard working and a credit to the hotel. The Thai restaurant with Sous Chef Niran Som Boon - wow you must go here- we returned we were so impressed with his food. Really talented and he and his staff are the best. The roof top swimming pool and bar was a hit too especially at dusk watching the sunset. Thank you to housekeeping staff who left us a lovely message for our anniversary and fruit, lovely gesture. Needless to say we hope to return before too long!
Nothing really. A very small point - nothing to do with the hotel but there was building work being done next to us however it wasn’t loud and interesting to watch how fast they complete viewed from our lovely room with south facing large balcony.
The uninterrupted view of the sunset and the sea was worth it. Nearby to the main attraction area which is pantai cenang. The walk-in Bathroom was spacious and the elevated bath tub area was nice touch.
Tv program system which was using a third party streaming platform was a hassle to use. Didn’t expect from a luxury hotel. The room was spacious but lacked of aura too much of unused space and lacked of welcoming feel for me personally and the switch for the lights was game of guessing.

loved it all, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the hotel is just like the pictures so stunning, room was spotless, location was fab like a 10 min cab to central and for the local beach there’s a buggy that can take you for free (it’s like 3 min ride), you could also walk for 15-20 mins. sunset/sunrise was unreal, you can get a perfect view from the hotel pool of the sea. i would defo come back, it’s a vibe. food in the restaurant by the rooftop pool is nice too

Modern, spacious and cozy bedroom. Loved the shower and 24-hr gym - it has only basic equipments but good enough for me. I also liked the healthy shots right by the reception and had the best nasi lemak (very fragrant) at the breakfast buffet. It’s a beautiful building with friendly, and great hospitality. Staffs are fully alert and aware of surrounding situations.
There’s room for improvement even for a 5-star hotel. For 2 days, there was no body wash available (housekeeper said even other guests had already complained but seems no immediate action has been taken). There were no basic hygiene products like cotton buds, cotton pads or extra toilet rolls in the bathroom. The sliding wardrobe was not smooth and is hard to use. Housekeeping also took really long to come as the housekeeper only came to our room at 1pm.
As for buffet breakfast, theres a variety of selection but lacking high quality ingredients for certain food choices. The pancakes and waffles were tough and lacked the fluffiness I craved for. Moreover, the honey was not real honey - it was sugar syrup and the honeycomb was manufactured. I expected more from a 5-star hotel.

L’appartement était très sale, comme le montrent les photos. Cela ne correspond en rien à un établissement 5 étoiles. Par ailleurs, le prix a augmenté entre la réservation sur Booking et le paiement sur place, ce qui est inacceptable. Enfin, seuls les paiements en espèces sont acceptés.
Very convenient location, surrounded by beach activities, quality restaurants etc… I really like the place. Two bedroom apartment, I took was so good, amazing interiors. Only thing they didn’t offer sea facing room even after the request
4 of us visited Langkawi for an 8-night girls’ trip and found our stay at The RIYAZ Lavanya very comfortable overall. We stayed in the 2-bedroom family apartment, which was spacious and well-suited for our group, with 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuites, plus an extra toilet. The apartment also had a huge kitchen with a full-size fridge and a lovely ocean view overlooking Tengah Beach. Rooftop swimming pool and bar was very nice and inviting. Delicious contrails and great view.
While we generally enjoyed our stay, there were a few disappointments. We had breakfast once at Flora & Fauna and did not return, as the experience was quite underwhelming. In particular, the soup and curry were served cold, so we ended up having breakfast at nearby hotels and cafés for the rest of our trip. The Kratong Thai restaurant was very good. Food was very authentic and reasonably priced.
The towels also appeared old and many were stained, which could definitely be improved. The washing machine was very handy for us however, there was no cloth drying rack provided. Also there was no dish drainer.
