Un vrai voyage dans la culture japonaise
Pros:

L’accueil d’une mamie super sympa et efficace. Notre belle chambre avec ses tatamis et futons. La sdb et son petit onsen relaxant après la douche. N’hésitez pas à prendre petit déjeuner et dîner sur place. C’est délicieux et un vrai voyage dans la cuisine japonaise.

Lovely traditional hotel
Pros:

Very nice traditional style hotel, well located for travel further into the valley. Very nice staff, and very good vegetarian food. It is tall and thin, so there are very steep stairs which might cause a problem if you're old or infirm. Note it does have a shared traditional bath (you use it one at a time, and I guess a couple could go in together), and shared toilets/washing facilities which are completely standard for traditional hotels.

A nice quiet remote place

Such a nice quiet remote place run by a so sweet old lady, and who speaks English much better than most of other hosts I've met.

Tolles Essen :-)
Pros:

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, auf Anfrage wurde sogar vegetarisch für uns gekocht. Die Kazurabashi Brücke ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Gäste des Ryokan bekommen Ermäßigung für das Onsen in einem nahegelegenen Hotel. Wunderschönes Freiluft-onsen, unbedingt zu empfehlen!

Beautiful location and lovely staff.
Pros:

Very nice staff, bath/shower room was lovely and clean. Very beautiful location, and close to biwa waterfall and the famous vine bridge. The discount for a local onsen was a nice bonus. The dinner and breakfast were filling and very tasty, with local ingredients.

Cons:

Our room had a funny smell (maybe from being above the kitchen). If you have are travelling on public transport the ryokan is about 10 minutes from the closest bus stop up a steep hill.

Cute Ryokan in the Iya Valley
Pros:

Great location, quiet and comfortable to rest and sleep! Staff was kind and helpful, and very flexible with our arrival time which we greatly appreciated. Dinner and breakfast was simple and super delicious!

Japon authentique traditionnel!
Pros:

l'acceuil, la chambre spacieuse et typiquement traditionnelle , les repas petit-déjeuner et diner sont copieux et de qualités, avec des produits régionaux et du tofu local, je recommande fortement. Personnel charmant et attentionné. La vallée d'Iya se mérite!

Cons:

Rien, esprit authentique d'un endroit reculé du Japon traditionnel.

Lovely experience!
Pros:

Yummy breakfast and dinner prepared by the lovely owner. Comfy room in a serene location.
The shared bathrooms and toilets were clean. Near the vine bridge. And free parking! Would love to stay again 😊
