Good entertainment and food. Not good for accommodation
Pros:

The pub is awesome as a pub

Cons:

The Accommodation side was The noise level from inside the room was so loud that I couldn’t sleep until pub closed past well past 1pm. The snoring noise level from opposite room was not good.

Misleading Accommodation
Pros:

The staff were friendly, polite and did their best to assist us during our stay. The renovations currently underway look like they will greatly improve the property, and I have no doubt it will be a fantastic hotel once completed.

Cons:

We booked a Queen Room with a Private Bathroom at The Federal Hotel expecting to stay in the hotel. On arrival, we were told the hotel is being renovated and were placed in a donga around the back instead.

This was not disclosed when booking. Had we known we would be staying in temporary accommodation down a side alley, surrounded by rubbish and boxes, we would have chosen another property.

Renovations are understandable, but guests should be clearly informed if they won’t actually be staying in the hotel they booked. Very disappointing and misleading.

The federal hotel should be called the Ferrell Hotel. I would not recommend ever staying or eating there. It looks like
Pros:

This property was horrible. It’s in really bad shape and not worthy of staying at we arrived to find that our booking.com room had not been finished in renovations yet so they put us in a room out the back behind some rubbish and debris we had to take a path at the back of the hotel that did not feel safe at night time and could’ve easily been a place from mugging or a bashing. The air conditioning units were attached to the side of our room which made noise all night long. The room was tiny and the floor was wet. It felt unsafe as it only had a single lock on the door like you would have in your house toilet I wish I could upload more photos but this is all that’s allowing me to do. Give this place a wide birth.

Cons:

Everything was bad about this hotel even the reception area that we tried to get a different room or our money back was next to the kitchen that smelt bad. We did not eat here and wouldn’t have accepted anything from them anyway besides our money pack which was not offered.

Pros:

I was lost and unable to find the room. The staff member who gave me the key didn't seem to care at all—they just gave a quick explanation and left, with no map or any other guidance. It was my first time there, so I was very confused. After struggling to find the room, I came back to the office and asked a young lady serving at the bar. She came with me and showed me the way. Kudos to her—at least one caring member on the staff.

The images in the booking app don't match the actual room.
