Very disappointing
Pros:

Location is great. We used the bus to visit so just across the road.

Cons:

We were put in room 419, this is in an attic room. I want to let people know that there is only a lift to floor 3 then a walk up a staircase to floor 4 on that side of the hotel. I knew the room wouldn’t be great after walking along quite a dark narrow corridor. It’s very bland and stuffy, no air con ( we did ask for a fan which we were given). Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights so didn’t have a great deal of luggage to manhandle up the stairs. To be fair the manager did say they would try and move us but they were fully booked on our first night. Our issue as we decided not to bother for our following night, I wish we had as the second night was worse than the first. The bed was very uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep. Positives are that the room was clean and there was a decent hairdryer.

Pros:

Das Zimmer war sauber, das Personal an der Reseption freundlich. Da Frühstück war gut. Es gab alles am Buffet.

Cons:

Das Essen im Hotelrestaurant war okay, aber nicht hervorragend. Das Peesonal schien nicht motiviert, war aber freundlich. Im Hotelzimmer konnte die Nachttischlampe nicht beutzt werden, das ds Kabel zu kurz war.

It's a dump
Pros:

Nothing. The only positive thing was it wad close to the Station and the centre of town.

Cons:

The room was shocking. The bed was like a marshmallow the paint on the doors, windows were all chipped, the carpet was stained is was a dismal place to stay. The toilet seat was detatched from the bowl which was heavily stained and the floor tiles were a mess with grout missing and sharp edges. The window in the room was a Velux which was high so no view of anything.

I wouldn't have dinner or high tea again.
Pros:

Receptionist was helpful. Could do being most disabled friendly than having to lift 3 wheel walkers.

Cons:

Room could off done with a freshen off paint and window open as it was hot the 2 nights.
Staff on the Tuesday night in restaurant wasn't helpful and food came out cold. Ask what salad they did and told Ham and Egg salad only got lettuce, tomato and cucumber where was the ham and egg ask and got told I didn't ask for that which I did. She didn't explain how their high teas are or nothing. Didnt even get a plate for buttering our toast which we had to ask for. Manager wasn't kind to give anything back due to booking on booking.com than through hotel. Only getting 2 cakes and a the smallest scone ever. Never again. Caithness high teas up here are 100% better than what we had.
