Staff were so friendly. This was my second time staying here, the first time was with a group of my girlfriends. This time with my husband and child and safe to say the hotel easily caters for both styles of holidays.
Something new they introduced this year on one of the nights was some evening entertainment. There was a DJ and they had a special cocktail menu at the outside pool bar. This was such fun...even with a one year old.
The location is the best. 2 minute walk to the marina for morning coffee/ lunch/ dinner , 2 minute walk to a gorgeous park with lots of playgrounds suitable for all ages and then about a 5-8 minute walk to the town.
A beautiful cove to swim in the sea too.
The Pimms at the inside bar is fantastic.
Our little boy turned one there, they must have taken note of his birth date on his passport and they surprised him with a slice of cake (and us a bottle of rose). I will 100% be staying here again. We had the best time (again).
Thank you for being so kind and generous to our little boy too.
Nothing!
Location was great. Close enough to everything but far enough for a quiet night.
Breakfast was ok, coffee wasn’t too good.
The pool area was lovely.
The coffee at breakfast was terrible.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after a 2 night stay in Lisbon .
On arrival our first impression was the reception area seemed in need of renovation .( The reception team made up for this and were very nice
) We discovered this is partly down to the building work going on to update the lifts .Consequently only 2 of the 3 lifts were working and one of these did judder a bit on arriving at floors .We found this a bit unnerving the first time but soon got used to it .
We were pleased with our room which was on the 4th floor with a lovely view of the sea and pool .The room was a good size , very clean and comfortable .
The breakfast was very good with lots of choice .The egg station deserves a special mention as we really enjoyed the various things that were cooked for us here
We did not use the pool as prefer the beach , but it looked very nice and loves watching the ducks take their early morning dip in it .
The hotel is set in very pretty well kept grounds and the gardeners seemed to work hard to keep it this way
Cascais is very picturesque and we thoroughly enjoyed our short break both at the hotel and Cascais and would definitely recommend it
Staff, first and foremost. Location. The new elevator, once it is in..
Nothing
Location is good, nice spacious room, great breakfast
Room was not completely cleaned (no fresh tea/coffee cups, no new milk cups, etc), shower in the bath (bit small), TV limited foreign (English) stations (there are many Free to Air!), lifts not all working which was OK (works being done) but there were no stairs as easy alternative nearby! Also a safety issue in case of fire. Tried some stairs but ended up in the service area instead of the lobby.
Everything food, pool people, beds very comfortable
The grounds were beautiful and well kept .Breakfast had a good selection and the omelette station was excellent .We were pleased with the room we had .It was very clean , a good size and had a lovely view of the sea and the pool area , which we did not use but looked good .Also loved watching the ducks in the morning from our balcony when they went for their morning dip .
The look of reception , which is the first thing you see on arrival , lets the hotel down and gives a poor first impression. This could partly be because there is work going on to improve the lifts .The reception team however were very friendly and helpful
The location was excellent - Cascais centre was in walking distance and there was easy access through a secure gate. The pool and it's facilities were lovely - plenty of sunbeds and easy to get a cold drink & even food served around the pool or very near. The breakfast was a large spread with lots of choice and good quality food including a live omlette / eggs station which was excellent.
We paid for a Junior Suite upgrade to really enjoy our stay as we were there for 3 nights and 4 days, however the Junior Suite room was small and poorly laid out, with the bedroom being very small and only containing a standard sized double bed which was hugely disappointing for the money we paid. The standard rooms had much larger beds and had huge balconies compared to our very small room with a poor layout. We complained after the second night of poor sleep and were moved to a standard room (which was much nicer!) but we were disappointed that the suite was of such low quality - the photos on the website do not show an accurate representation of the Junior Suites and they are certainly not worth the money. The staff did move us, and were very friendly.
In a word…charmless. Check in process took over 20 mins per person. Staff were miserable and undertrained. For a hotel of this size there are only 2 check in/out desks.
Awful start to a stay.
Une Junior suite trop chère avec 4 Lits et cuisine vetuste pour 1 personne! Dans la cuisine il n’y avait ni machine à café, ni rien! Ensuite j’ai changé et je dois être remboursée de 100€ par nuit=300€
mooie schone ruimte kamer
parkeerplaatsen
The location is perfect. The staff are welcoming. The pool is lovely. The food at the outside bar was tasty and reasonably priced
A member of staff trying to catch a duck and her ducklings with a huge net . Was very distressing to watch . From what I saw everyone appeared to enjoy having the ducks around. They were not being pests nor causing any problems
Stayed 3 times over past 10 years always a great hotel
