A very dated jungle paradise in Portland, Port Antonio
Pros:

The property is in a stunning mountainous area of Port Antonio. Staff were attentive, however, a bit too relaxed at times which is in the Jamaican culture in my opinion. Decent sized rooms and good food. Fresh towels every day

Cons:

The garden rooms are dated and have no fridge, tea/coffee making facilities or aircon. On arrival to the room, there were either big ants or cockroaches on the floor. Although I was only there for 5 nights, the bed sheets only got changed, the day before I left

Always Enchanting
Pros:

I have stayed at the property before under previous ownership, and so was curious to see if LF would live up to the previous owners; They surpassed it in every way. As a local who travels around the island a lot for pleasure, as well as work, excellent customer service and in house dining are very important factors for me: The customer service experience by EVERY member of staff I encountered during my stay was amazing, warm and friendly without performance- this is not often the local experience. All my meals were fantastic. MOST OF ALL- The new proprietors are once more revealing the beauty of the grounds, long hidden by overgrowth- opening up enchanting pathways. If you desire absolute peace- I recommend you stay here.

Cons:

A mini coffee maker would have been the icing on the cake for me who rises SUPER early, but again- the staff come earlier than breakfast time and are SO accommodating- and made me hot cup as soon as I showed up.

Un magnifique séjour dans la jungle.
Pros:

La nature autour est fabuleuse. La vue sur les montagnes et la mer au loin.

Cons:

Our stay was a quiet, rustic, and refreshing eco-friendly experience. I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to give direct feedback to the manager while also enjoying light conversations. It added a warm and personal touch to the visit

Would not recommend at all
Pros:

The view from the bar over the pool.

Cons:

The rooms were dated, the food was terrible and overpriced, our rooms did not have A/C. The service was poor, nobody at the reception desk most of the time, no introduction to the hotel & showing around. Just overall lack of attention to detail.

The rooms have open slat windows so the sound is very loud. Lots of cats screaming outside the rooms and you can hear the next room as though they were inside yours.

Memorable Trip!
Pros:

Nice, quiet location in the hills of Portland... lush greenery everywhere. Visited with spouse and friends, so real nice vibe!! Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond. The food was absolutely amazing - top notch! Javaughn handled his business when making our special drinks 😀 and the manager Simone was such a star - awesome personality. Thanks so much to the LF Jungle team for making this a memorable trip!

Cons:

Overall the facilities were pretty good, however, some areas in the bedroom villa could do with some updates.
